The Sony W300i is the most recent in a long line of cellular phones used at my house.  It was chosen for length of talk/standby time and recommendations that its reception was better than average in rural areas.  The phone has many more features as well - lots of music options, expandable memory for...

Overall good phone. Picture quality poor and speaker quality could be better. I have dropped this phone a million times and it still works like a charm. Headphones that come with phone to listen to radio are cheap and the ear pieces will fall off.Ring tones that come on the phone are nice - different... review »

I got this phone for free when I extended my contract with AT&T for 2 years.  I like the phone although I don't use all of it's features, which include mp3 player, radio, camera, bluetooth ready, calendar and more.  I like that it plays music.  The battery lasts a long time, unless you are using bluetooth features a lot.  The phone is light weight and easily fits in a pocket, which is a convenint feature with vibrate on if you are in a loud place.

My husband liked mine so much, he got one a month later.  He loves the radio and listens to it all the time.

The Sony Ericsson W300i is a great phone!! We have been dependent on cell phones for many years now. When we got this phone, it was an upgrade, and we loved it from the start!! We now have 4 of these, and we all love them!

This phone is loaded with great features!

It has the fm radio, which you need the headset to listen to (its the antenna). The headset has great sound quality and also is a great fit to the ear! The volume goes very high, I never have it more than 1/4th as high as it can go. What else is great about the headset? If you get a call while listening to the radio, it beeps in, and...

After having my Sony Ericsson W300i phone for only 7 months I noticed it had a problem recognizing the charging plug when trying to connect I had to wiggle it a bit, as time went on the problem only worsened as the charging port on the bottom had corrosion.  My husband and mother got sony ericsson phones at same time I did and experienced same trouble. They really need to add a rubber protector like the Samsung phones or use a plug in design for charging. The phone is useless without power!

as for good points I liked how easy it was to write and send text messages, the sound quality was also good...

The Sony Ericsson W300i offers good call quality, a top-notch MP3 player, and a generous set of features. From the outside it's quite attractive. The phone is relatively compact at 3.5 by 1.8 by 1.0 inches, so it's easily placed in most pockets. It's also quite light for its size at 3.3 ounces, but the trade-off is that the overall construction feels somewhat flimsy.

In the center of the front flap is the postage stamp-size external display. Though monochrome, it's quite bright and displays the usual information, including the date, time, battery life, signal strength, and caller ID (where available)....

After giving my Nokia 6620 to my friend, I thought it gave me an excuse to "upgrade" to a new celly. Biggest mistake of my life. I went for all the bells and whistles, phone, camera, walkman, radio function, awesome! Almost two months old, pristine condition (never been dropped, gotten wet, never left my hand), my new Sony Ericcson W300i starts shutting itself off. **I might add that once I left the store, I charged the phone overnight and when I turned it on the next day...there were text messagesd from phone numbers that are not from my phonebook! Is this a factory set thing?? Cuz I think I...

I absolutely love this phone. I've had the Sony Ericsson W300i for over a year and can't seem to find another to compare. If your a flip phone person like I am, then you'll love this one! It's not only a cell phone but a walkman as well. It can store mp3's and play radio. The only down fall is the amount of memory the phone comes with. Not much but that's a quick fix, buy a memory card. It has external music buttons so you can listen while the phone is closed and on the go. It comes with great ear-buds. It also has a great camera and video taking features. To me this phone is very sturdy yet... review »

I was opening a new account so decided to get this phone at the special price.  I was excited about the thought of having a radio and MP3 player on it.  Not to mention internet access and a camera.

The radio works pretty good, but the only way to use it is with the antanae which is kind of a pain.  I would prefer it built in.  If anything happens to it you have to buy a new one.

If you want to get any amount of storage you need to buy the card.

It is not very sturdy.  I had two short out on me so that I could not speak on it.  The cause I was given, was water damage although the phones had never...

After retiring my archaic early 2000's cell in favor of a smaller, more compact and multi-functional version, I can say I'm somewhat satisfied with the Sony Ericsson W300i Walkman Phone. It fits the bill- cute, functional, fun, headset with a wire (no retarded bluetooth falling out of my ear), can listen to music at the gym and answer calls if I have to. Only problem is that I am now on my second one, and still having the same problems occasionally. The first one I had started shorting out about 6-8 months after purchase. No  dropping it, no getting it wet- just died one day after turning itself...

The Sony Ericsson - W300i is a compact flip phone that features:  MP3 player, radio, voicemail, caller id, SMS capability, and MP3s may be used as custom ringtones. The MP3 player is a great feauture but it does not hold a large number of songs (15-20). Unlike the MP3 player, the radio feature requires the user to attach the included headphones which act as the antenna.

After one year of heavy use and slight abuse, the screen has begun to get wavy lines at the top of the inner display screen. This problem may be the result of being dropped, but one year is a very short life span for a cellphone....

Love the phone.  Many different options.  Has a voice recorder that has come in really handy for one of my classes where I have to do a voice homework everyweek.  Love the music maker.  Games are all trials so not so great but that's not why I got the phone.  Camera has a slight delay which makes it difficult to get candid shots but has a video too.  Has cord to connect to computer which I love because can add music to the phone from my computer.  Has option to add memory stick.  Loved phone so much that both my brother and mother bought same phone.

I've had the cell phone for qute a while now and love it.

One of its big attractions was the battery life. I can charge it and it lasts for days and days. I also bought this phone because I do a lot of travelling and wanted to have a phone with good music capabilities. The sound and function fo the phone are pretty good.

one draw back is that it can be tricky to get tunes onto the phone. You have to buy a seperate lead in order to transfer between a pc and the phone, or use blue tooth (which can be fiddley and a pain)

I love this phone.  It is my second Sony Ericsson, I had the W800i.  This phone gets better than average reception in low reception areas, has a multitude  of features, including the walkman feature.  I've dropped it several times, the phone is durable and sturdy.  I love the antenna, it doesn't stick up like most.  The camera is decent as well.  All in all this has been my favorite phone to date.  My husband and son each have the same model as well.  We love the phone.

Even after dropping this phone on a daily basis, it has continued to serve its purpose. I can run and talk with this phone because it has the MP3 player and FM radio. I didn't like that you to only use the earpiece for it to work but nothings perfect. This phone can be loud or soft. I used it as my alarm clock. I am a school teacher so the phone has to be durable and clear. At least four of my parents had this same phone. I have used it for two years. I look forward to upgraded to the next version.
