It was exciting for me to go shopping for ALL new electronics after I let my ex-husband have all the OLD stuff, including the oversized cabinet!  One of my great purchases is the Sony CD/DVD player, model DVP-NC85H.  The best thing I love about this player is that it plays either Cds or DVDs without changing anything.  It just knows which is which.  I can load five CDs in and just let it play and it will play until I stop it.  Sharp clear pictures and great sound.  This unit measures 17" wide, 3" tall and 16" deep and fits great in my new smaller cabinet with all my other new components.  One other thing I like is that if I have to stop a CD or DVD for awhile, I can turn on the player and it will resume where I left off.  You can search for a specific scene on a DVD, change the angle and display subtitles are just a few of the many great things about this player.  The remote is easy to use also.  I would highly recommend this player.
