I always had problems with their blank VHS videocassettes back in the 80s and 90s, so I wasn't expecting much when I bought Sony's brand of blank DVD-Rs. To my surprise they turned out to be a very good brand, and I have bought several hundred over the last couple of years that I've owned a home DVD recorder.

I like the fact that Sony makes their discs available in speeds 1x thru 16x because I still have a Panasonic DVD recorder that won't accept anything higher than 4x speed. So Sony's come in real handy for this reason.

I definitely recommend this brand to anyone who's shopping around for blank DVD-Rs.
