Sony - DSC F-717 Reviews

 I have used 35mm camera for over 20 years, I have used simple point and shoots, to advanced SLR's. I used a simple, small digital as my first digital, it was exactly what I should have been for the cost, simple. I am a serious photography amature, have been for many years, and I resisted the move from print to digital, until i used the Sony F717. I am now hooked on digital photography. This camera is easy to use for a new or experienced photographer, the quality is exceptional, and the various user modes makes it a ton of fun to experiment with, without the excess cost of having film developed...

Wide set of features including multiple autofocus and exposure options as well as full manual exposure and focus. Ability to zoom by turning a lens ring allows convenient precise adjustment. The same ring can be a continuous manual focus ring. Infrared illuminator and laser focus can he helpful in low light but only for near to middle distances. Lack of optical viewfinder makes available light landscapes problematic. Limited to Memory Stick media. Newer models provide more pixels but some of these features are not available.
