I had purchased the Sony DRX-830u on clearnce which is supposed to read and burn just about every type of media you can think of. I had plugged it up and placed a regular dvd in it to watch on my pc when it becomes unresponsive as in the dvd tray would not open and had to stick a paperclip in the emergency eject method to get my dvd outta there. I went back to staples and gotten another one, I tried it again and same thing...after talking to a sony technician I was told that both items they had on the shelf at staples was bad so I wen back wanting to exchange yet again but there was a newer upgraded and more expensive model in the same location so I opted for a money back refund. Highly displeased with the product but the customer service was ok.
