Can't complain. Its my second digital camera. It takes awesome pictures and very decent videos. The digital camera I had earlier took videos but with out sound. This camera also has face detection, so if you are not good at taking pics, it automatically detects a face and focuses on it. So people… read full review »

This is a nice little compact camera however when you try to shoot a picture the shutter is so slow your subject has usually moved by the time it takes the photo.  The pictures are pretty good as long as you put it on the largest size and the re-size later.  Once you take the photo… read full review »

I got this camera as a gift. I love the look, it's a pink one! My problem is figuring out which settings to use. Even though I used face detection, the auto-setting and it has anti-blurr, some pictures are blurry.  One time, the pictures will be perfectly clear, the next time, they are horribly blurry. It gets frustrating because I have missed some very special shots that can never be replaced. I have twin sons and I was taking pictures of their first date. I took a lot of one son's pictures at his date's house and they were perfect. I took a bunch of  pictures at the… read full review »

I would definitely recommend this digital camera to anyone who is looking for a small, compact camera with all the features you could ever be looking for. — This camera not only has picture-taking capabilities, but also has video and movie-making capabilities also.  These are the features that attracted me to this camera. — The styling is great and it fits in the palm of your hand.  If you want to see the last picture you've taken, there is a "last picture" button on it.  The camera also has a "Home" feature which has several features like a single picture sliding… read full review »

This camera is the best I've ever owned (for the price).  — Pros: The pictures come out very clear and crisp.  The actual camera is small enough to drop in my purse for every event and even small enough that my husband doesn't mind putting it in his pocket.  It's very stylish looking as well (if you care about that sort of thing).  It's easy to understand all the features...Sony makes it very easy.  Uploading pictures to the computer was simple as well.  I've very happy with this purchase. — Cons: It does take a second or two… read full review »

This Sony Cybershot camera is my 5th camera. As you can tell, I am a happy Sony Cybershot customer. This is a great pocket camera. And I literally put this camera in my pocket. It's thin enough that I have to be careful it doesn't fall out of my shirt pocket. — — This camera was not meant to replace the SLR's fast response to taking pictures. The speed of taking pictures of this camera is fast when you don't use the flash and there's plenty of light. If you take it outdoors, the response time of taking pictures is reasonable. If you want it really really fast, i suggest getting… read full review »

This was pretty easy to use right out of the box.  Power up the battery with the included charger, put it in, and start clicking away.  There are a number of pre-set photo settings, but I've found that in most situations the auto settings work just fine.  The one area where I haven't had much success is taking pictures in low light settings.  I don't know if this is because the flash is weak, I'm not using the right settings, or a mix of both.  The camera is light and fits into my pocket easily.  I would have liked a carrying case to prevent the screen from… read full review »

This is my third Sony camera and they seem to get better everytime.  I wanted to get into the 1080 realm with my next camera and this was the best deal I found.  I later saw a package option with the docking station I would have went for but have no regrets.  We compared pics from our DSCP92 to this one and hands down the DSCW80 was way ahead.  On tv playback via the camera it rotated the photos into correct position, sized them best for screen and play music in slideshow mode.  My wife who was not wanting to spend the cash, changed her tune in about 1 minute.  I… read full review »

this is my third Sony Cyber Shot - love how they have grown smaller and better.  This Camera is extremely easy to use - and yet provides a quality photo, with great zoom - a small package with a lot of pizazzzzzzz!  I tired a Cannon, and an Olympus and ended up returning them both.  I dont think you can go worng with this camera.  Price is also coming down.  One of the best things about it is the facail focus it will zero in on each person in the photo and focus, and extra feature that is well worth the price of the camera.  I have not used the video a lot, but… read full review »

Before I got this camara, I've been shop around for a while.  I am not a camara addict nor professinal photographer,  but i'm care about quality and looks-- yes, I prefer camara w/ better look. Thats why I go for Sony. I bought the G1, its fantastic but. too big and heavy for travel, although its a multifuntional and I love its big big screen.  I returned it and got the W80. I've been using it for 5 months and love it. As a non pro and occasionally camara user, it has all functions u will need and it doesnt have functions u don't need,… read full review »

Im writing a review for the Sony Cybershot W80 camera. I looked and researched a long time before deciding which one I wanted to get. The Sony camera had features on it that I liked. Like the large LCD screen, easy to use menu, face detection, and red eye removal. I keep the camera in my purse and use it when I need it. When I got to print the pictures out they have bright vivid colors and are so clear. I would recomind this camera to all my friends and family that like it. I actually got my boyfriends sister to buy one... becuause she loved mine so much! —… read full review »

I have owned a Sony digital camera before purchasing this one.  The old one a sony Cyber-shot 3.2 mega pixels had me coming back for more.  I find Sony products easy to use but packed full of features, i.e. telephoto, black and white, sepria options - all which I look for in a camera.  I am a huge fan of black and white and this easy to use camera does the trick.  And even if somehow I manage to screw up, I delete the picture and try again.  No more waiting to see how the pictures turn out.....I love this… read full review »

This camera has seen many faces in my hands. I am a toddler teacher and I take upwards of 50 pictures a day. The battery life is exceptional and the clarity of the photos is phenomenal. — — I have beat on this camera and it still keeps on going.  It's been dropped, had sand stuck in the lens casing and sat on.  With a little cleaning it comes right back to life.  — — The lense quality is outstanding.  The auto adjustment of light makes pictures in different lighting very easy to take. —… read full review »

This is my first digital camera and I am more than thrilled with the performance and quality.  I took pictures for six days and never needed to change the battery.  The charge was ample and the 2 GP memory stick I purchased gave me ample room for pictures.  Downloading was a snap and being non technical and a beginner I was glad that the process went so smoothly.  The lens is superior quality and I would suggest this camera, or any Sony product, to anyone who asked me. … read full review »

I finally had to retire my faithful Olympus Camedia C-4000 after many great years of taking quality pictures for eBay. I needed a digital camera that would take clear crisp closeups of coins and jewelry. I researched several cameras and severals models. I decided to try the Sony  W80 and I'm glad I did. It is VERY EASY to use and takes excellent closeups that show the smallest of details. I recommend this camera to any eBay… read full review »
