Purchased this camera for my daughter for Christmas last year, and she has carried it everywhere since then.  We are always asking her to take pictures for us.  She does an awesome job and enjoys using the video as well.  It is durable...easy to use...and easy to upload to computer.  Takes great... read full review »

This is a nice little compact camera however when you try to shoot a picture the shutter is so slow your subject has usually moved by the time it takes the photo.  The pictures are pretty good as long as you put it on the largest size and the re-size later.  Once you take the photo it takes quite... read full review »

I got this camera as a gift. I love the look, it's a pink one! My problem is figuring out which settings to use. Even though I used face detection, the auto-setting and it has anti-blurr, some pictures are blurry.  One time, the pictures will be perfectly clear, the next time, they are horribly blurry. It gets frustrating because I have missed some very special shots that can never be replaced. I have twin sons and I was taking pictures of their first date. I took a lot of one son's pictures at his date's house and they were perfect. I took a bunch of  pictures at the other son's date's house...

I would definitely recommend this digital camera to anyone who is looking for a small, compact camera with all the features you could ever be looking for.

This camera not only has picture-taking capabilities, but also has video and movie-making capabilities also.  These are the features that attracted me to this camera.

The styling is great and it fits in the palm of your hand.  If you want to see the last picture you've taken, there is a "last picture" button on it.  The camera also has a "Home" feature which has several features like a single picture sliding show.  It show all your pictures...

This Sony Cybershot camera is my 5th camera. As you can tell, I am a happy Sony Cybershot customer. This is a great pocket camera. And I literally put this camera in my pocket. It's thin enough that I have to be careful it doesn't fall out of my shirt pocket.

This camera was not meant to replace the SLR's fast response to taking pictures. The speed of taking pictures of this camera is fast when you don't use the flash and there's plenty of light. If you take it outdoors, the response time of taking pictures is reasonable. If you want it really really fast, i suggest getting an SLR camera like the...

This was pretty easy to use right out of the box.  Power up the battery with the included charger, put it in, and start clicking away.  There are a number of pre-set photo settings, but I've found that in most situations the auto settings work just fine.  The one area where I haven't had much success is taking pictures in low light settings.  I don't know if this is because the flash is weak, I'm not using the right settings, or a mix of both.  The camera is light and fits into my pocket easily.  I would have liked a carrying case to prevent the screen from getting scratched, but it does... read full review »

Can't complain. Its my second digital camera. It takes awesome pictures and very decent videos. The digital camera I had earlier took videos but with out sound. This camera also has face detection, so if you are not good at taking pics, it automatically detects a face and focuses on it. So people you don't have a excuse if you are using this camera, that 'I am a bad photographer.'

Overall I would say its a must buy, you probably would want to search for deals, as its easily available on net and in stores! I was surprised that Target and Circuit City had the same prices for this camera! Also, you...

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W300 is a good case in point. The W300 is Sony's W series flagship model, an elegant retro-chic digicam with a scratch-resistant titanium shell. The compact little W300 is about the same size as it's predecessor, the Sony Cyber-shot W200, but it has more megapixels (13.6 versus 12.1), a larger LCD screen (2.7 inches versus 2.5 inches), a very good 3x (35mm -105mm equivalent) Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar zoom, the ability to interface with the latest generation of Sony High Definition TVs, and an enhanced feature set.

The W300 was designed to appeal to both casual users who want...

Myhusband and I recently upgraded from our Sony DSC-P8 to a Sony DSC-W80. So far we are extremely happy. We shopped around quite a bit before settling on the new cybershot, and spent a good deal of time trying out other brands. In the end, the Smile Shutter brought us back to Sony. It sounds like there is no way it would work, but it really does. We have two young children that are remarkably hard to catch smiling. With the new Sony, all we have to do is turn on the smile shutter and the camera does the rest. So far, we haven't missed a smile with the 3 year (with teeth) and have caught a few of...

Well, this Sony Cybershot W80 is not brand new off the market, BUT if you do come across wanting to buy one I would suggest it. I am not super camera technical, but I use my camera everyday so I'm not dumbfounded either. I basically use the camera for chasing my kids around and toting it every where for great scrapbook shots (which by the way if you scrapbook or have kids a digital camera is the way to go), and I think the quality of the pictures is outstanding. Anyways, it gives you a lot of options, such as 5 different sizes for the photo ( 4x6, 5x7 etc), it has face detection, red eye reduction,...

I purchased the Sony Cybershot W80 without any research (and had never owned a digital camera before), so I had no idea what to expect.  Easy-to-follow buttons allow user to choose a timer, choose the macro option for close-ups (ex. flowers), or switch to the video option.  The pictures I've uploaded to my computer are flawless and I've received numerous compliments on the photos I've taken.  The preview screen could be a bit larger and doesn't give the actual picture taken enough justice, but is adequate for centering pictures and seeing if anyone blinked.  The software program wasn't very...

The Sony Cybershot W80 is an average digital camera with an average price tag attached to it.  It's held up well over the past couple years for me, and hasn't given me too much trouble.  One of the drawbacks with this model is that the zoom is really lame - only 3x and feels even less.  What's worse, the picture quality is evidently reduced when you're zoomed.  The quality of the pictures without the zoom enabled are quite nice though.  It's durable and lightweight, and the battery used to last a long time.  However, now that I've owned the camera for a couple of years, it no longer holds...

I purchased a pink Sony W80 for my wife, both for her to easily carry in her purse and to have a family-use point and shooot camera. I use a Canon 20D DSLR, but it can be a bit bulky and cumbersome at times, so we needed a small, palm-sized camera with similar pixel resolution.

The 7.2 Megapixels of this camera make for a nice, clear image and it captures color very nicely. The flash does tend to be a bit bright at times, so for many applications, I simply disable it.

It does have PictBridge which allows direct-from-camera printing, so when paired with our Polaroid Pogo printer, we can print images...
