I had been browsing around the web to find a camera that fit my needs and with great reviews. After hours of checking reviews and prices and websites, I decided on the sony cybershot dsc w55. I have not regretted my purchase. This camera takes such beautiful and clear pictures wether by day or by night. It also takes video with sound. It's very sleek and lightweight and has an easy to follow menu. I didn't even look at the manual and I was taking beautiful pictures. It's so easy to use. It's a great value and great price. The only downside is that it only works with sandis duo pro memory cards.... review »

My Sony Cybershot W-55 Digital Camera is the greatest camera that I have ever used!!! It has a 2.5 inch screen which is very great when taking pictures. It has many modes in which u can take pictures so that it could take great pictures whether at the beach, in the snow, at the zoo or whereever u are. I love taking pictures and wasnt sure which camera to buy. I have read many great reveiws about this camera so I decided to give it a shot. And i dont regret it one bit. Takes clear pictures! I would recommened it to everyone that I know!!

I lost my previous camera....and this one was a gift. I love it! It takes great quality photos, I couldn't be happier unless I went with something REALLY fancy. It offers a great variety of settings.....love it! I have only one complaint is that sometimes the delay on digital cameras can cause you to miss a shot. This was the best we could afford and I'm really glad my husband chose this for me. The memory stick is great too!

This is  a great product and easy to use.  Great for fun pictures and vacations.  I love the picture quality of this cammera and its user friendly feel.  The only set back is the delay between taking the picture and the flash. Sometimes this causes you to miss the picture.  I would recomend this to friends and anyone in need of a small camera for capturing memmories!

I am definitely technically challenged.  I do NOT understand modern technology and confused with a lot of buttons and knobs.  Typically, I had over everything electronic to my 13 year old son who somehow is able to instinctively understand it and set it up for his struggling mother.

I am the picture taker of the family.  I don't think I've been actually in a picture since the late 1980's as I am ALWAYS the one behind the camera.  That's fine with me because I enjoy capturing memories that our family can enjoy for years.  After years of fighting the idea of a digital camera, confused at those...

In the field of budget cameras, a little extra cash can go a long way. For instance, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W35 is a fine snapshot camera for less than $200. It delivers decent photos, performance, and design, but it's not much to look at, and its LCD screen is woefully small. For only about $20 more, Sony offers a pleasant upgrade in the Cyber-shot DSC-W55. It's the same 7-megapixel, 38mm-to-114mm-equivalent 3x zoom camera with an attractive, brushed-metal face and a larger, 2.5-inch LCD screen.

Against slimmer, more stylish cameras such as the significantly more expensive Cyber-shot DSC-T50,...

I received my Sony Cyber-shot camera as a Xmas gift from my daughter.  It has gotten to a point where I take my camera with me everywhere I go. I absolutely love it.  And for many reasons.  I am not tech savvy so the simpler the better for me.  This camera is simple enough for me to use yet has sooo many features that I haven't even used them all yet.  My late husband swore by the tradional 35mm cameras until he saw the quality of photos I was producing with my digital camera.  I also like the compact size.  It fits in my purse easily and I've even stuck it in my pants pocket.  In addition...

My husband bought me this camera as a Birthday gift 2 days before my first baby shower!!  It was the best gift ever and certainly the most used one!!  I'm not really that savvy with technology... I know how to use my computer, but I get confused easily on different things.  This camera was so easy to use and understand from day one.  I've later learned how to use the different features on it, but they were easy too.  I love how slim it is so I can put it in my pocket when we're out somewhere, or it slips easily into a pocket in my purse with out being in the way.  The zoom and picture quality...

I have had the Sony Cybershot W55 for 5 years now and love the easy to use camera!  This camera is awesome, the small size makes it easy to carry anywhere and I even slip it into my pocket when I don't feel like carrying a bag.  The Cybershot easily keeps your pictures from becoming blurry even for my husband that has shaky hands.  You can also change the setting for certain types of photos you are taking, such as scenery or people.  Once you set the camera for the type of photo you are taking the camera does the rest to make the picture turn out beautiful.  I love the zoom, I was able to...

The Sony Cybershot is a nice little camera. It's 7.2 megapixels, small enough to fit in a pocket, and comes in different colors (ex: pink!). I bought this camera before my yearbook class. Because I always needed candid shots, I usually used ISO. No flash means no angry students that really don't want their face in the yearbook. I found that when I zoomed in using ISO, especially if it was dark, I could get some pretty terrible shots. However, when I use it outside on a bright, sunny day, I get amazing photographs. The camera also has video. My only complaint with video is that you can't zoom in...

The sony cybershot W55 digital camera is a great camera that has multiple functions.  We recently upgraded to this camera and love the quality of the pictures as well as the video the camera produces. The ability to transfer video over to dics and download the picturs and video to multiple media sources is wonderful. We feel it is small enough to not get in the way and is user friendly. We take alot of pictures and video and want quality for our memories. This product delivers and gives us the peace of mind to feel confident it will capture them with the ut most quality. It has cool features like...

I was given this camera as a gift and find this camera to be great in every way, such as great price, easy to use, clear pictures, convenient to carry, stylish, never given me problems, battery lasts a long time, except...

The only problem I have with it is that it has no motion sensor, or image stabilizer or don't know what you call it.  This is actually a huge problem for us because my mom travels a lot and a lot of the times she has to ask other people to take pictures for her, and a lot of times the pictures turn out slightly blurry.  But I guess for the price that is okay =P

Our in-depth review of the Sigma DP1. It's been a long wait indeed. Sigma displayed a first concept prototype of the DP1 at Photokina 2006 but it took until March of this year for the first production models to hit the shelves. The DP1 sports the rather unusual Foveon X3 sensor (just like the Sigma SD14 DSLR) and comes with a 28mm F4.0 prime lens - quite an exotic combination in today's world of superzooms and smile modes. Sigma claims the new model has the soul of a DSLR in a compact body. Is it right in saying so? Find out after the link
