I purchased the Sony Cybershot T1 camera in Feb. 2004 off of Ebay, for about $500.  At the time, that was a good deal.  Pushing 6 years later, I still use it every day, and with a new baby girl, I mean every day!  I have graduated a couple times to larger memory stick cards (I'm now at 4GB, which is PLENTY big) and I have no complaints with the picture quality.  Now that cameras are getting so much cheaper, I MIGHT start looking for a new one soon, but the fact remains that this one is more than adequate.   Sometimes you have to work hard to get the picture to not be fuzzy (from shaking the camera, etc) but usually it's not a problem anymore.  If I let someone else take a picture with it, chances are much better that it will be a fuzzy picture, but if I or my wife are taking the picture, it's usually fine.  We only recently got a camcorder (for the new baby), so I was using this camera for video quite a bit, and it worked quite well.  I would recommend this camera as good quality, but you can probably find a better one for cheaper now.
