Very good durability

5

This camera was my first digital camera bought ever, and I found it broken only last year, after 7 good used years. It was passed on to my mom and she also loved it. I can't stress enough about its durability, even though fell on sand and ground many times. Image Quality I love Sony's cameras mostly for the quality f the images, and this one does it well. Performance Great. Not bad for the price of such camera Ease of Use It could get a bit complicated if you try to, but mostly not. Durability The best part of this is the durability, it can last for a long time. Battery Life The battery part is not an issue, either. It lasts for a long time. Portability Small and compact. Nice.

Easy-peasy

Super easy to learn! I far prefer this over my other, more expensive camera. Ive had it several years now, and I still reach for it first. I love that I can hand it over to someone else to take pictures, and don't nerd to provide written directions or tell them a lot before they can begin taking pictures. Its held up well with my children also, reaching and grabbing and pushing buttons.

I am using it but I do need more light to get good picture.

I need more light to take good pictures. I download the pictures to my computer and then also to facebook. I took pictures at family events and when my Mother was in the hospital with family visiting. I have taken some shots outside also and tried to get rainbow shots over my house. I really need to read up on it again. The lighting needs to be adjusted where I can take pictures without directly in the light. The flash seems to be going off okay. It does hold regular batteries and they run down every so often. When the camera won't turn on I know it is time to change the batteries.

It's a great camera for everyday pictures.

The camera takes good pictures. The quality of the pictures is a little shaky at times. The battery charge lasts for a longtime. It's a great camera for the price, I would recommend it for the everyday picture taker of the family.

Sony Cybershot N1 a great camera!!

A friend of mine owned a Sony Cybershot N1 and I borrowed it for a camping trip. I fell in love with this camera. The big 3 inch LCD touchscreen is great for viewing pictures. There is even a function where you can have a slideshow of your pictures and watch them on the camera. The pictures that this camera takes are some of the crispest photos I've ever seen from a small digital camera. The only time that spots or pixels will pop up on photos is in very low little and dark settings. The camera does take in a lot of light so most pictures are lit enough to be crisp. The video also takes pretty clean picture and sound. The touchscreen works very well on this camera. If you use your fingers, fingerprints can collect on the screen easily. The camera comes with a hook on stylus that works well and keeps fingerprints off. The camera is very compact and fits easily in a pocket. It's about the size of a deck of cards. The battery life is not bad. It depends how much of the screen you use, but it usually last a couple hours of picture taking.

sony cybershot- a surprisingly good little camera

I was always hesitant to use the Sony line of digital cameras.  I have heard some unpleasant things about them, and I was more comfortable with the Nikon and Canon lines.  So I purchased a canon.  To make a long story short, my canon lasted for about a year before the quality of the images dropped significantly and I had to retire it. Money was tight, and I could not afford another camera.  I had a conference in Hawaii (seriously), and I wanted to have a camera so I could take some pictures while I was there.  A friend of mine owns this particular camera, and she generously suggested that she would let me borrow it for the trip.  I figured it was better than nothing so I took it with me.  Let me tell you, I was very wrong about the Sony line, or at least when it comes to this camera.  It is small so I could keep it in my bag at all times withouy feeling bogged down by something hefty, and the images came out very clearly.  I'm definetly picking up one of these for myself when I have the chance!

How much can I say about my LOVE for this camera?

I have four digital cameras- three are sony point and shoots and 1 is a Canon professions DSLR. Of all of the Cybershots I currently own, this one is my absolute favorite. Reasons why: it takes fabulous photos, it is easy to use, it is easy to get the photos into my computer, and it is fast (aperture wise). I love the touch screen on the back too. I upgraded to the 13.6 mega pixel after this camera seemed to have had its share of use, thinking that I was going to fall in love with it and that this model would sit around collecting dust. Quite the opposite, this is still the camera I reach for because the new model is SLOW! Forget getting those shots of your kids or pets doing things quickly, that camera just doesn't shoot like this one does. So- for guaranteed great photos quick, I use this point and shoot the most! I can always rely on it and wish they'd make this one in a newer model, as I would purchase it in a heartbeat!

Love my digital camera.

So, I have sworn off of Sony products forever due to my Vaio. I actually bought this camera the same time I bought the Vaio and it has outlived, and outperform the laptop, and over impressed me in general. It is an older model now. I bought it four years ago. But I still love it. I have only  needed to have it serviced once since I have had it. And it is super easy to use! I have the DSC-N1, like i said it is an older model by now, my zoom is a whole 3x, lol. Which isn't great, but it still does the job. I have 8.1 megapixel on this camera, which is not impressive, now. But when I first got this thing it was great. It still is great. I still use this camera all the time and it still produces excellent quality pictures. I paid around five hundred, plus the warranty when I got mine new. Im not sure how much they run now, probably about the same. I love the touchscreen, and it is so user friendly and easy to use and navigate though. The side opens to house the battery and the Pro Duo memory card, optional but nice to have. If you need a decent digital camera, I would consider picking up one of these. Even a good used one would do a sufficient job if all you want is random pictures, more for an amateur, or if your kids want a digital camera, you can impress them with a touchscreen, lol.
