This camera is real top quality product. I got this camera in 2008 and it still takes care of everything that I want out of a camera. I am a picture addicted person who can take so many pictures at one function that some people call me crazy. So out of the 10's of thousands of pictures I have taken with this camera I have never really had a day where I do not like this camera. The amount of mega pixels that this has is plenty good for most every picture that you would want. The pics blow up to 8 x 10 inch with great clearity. The settings on this camera all do exactly what they say they are going to do. I have had cameras where at night when you take pics inside the whole picture has a yellow glow to it. This camera does not do that. I do often have it on the setting hwere the flash will always come on and  not the auto setting. I think that the flash could come on more then what the auto can detect. The zoom on this camera is awesome considering the size of the camera. The LCD screen is nice and big and will show you your picture very clearly. I will upgrade my camera very soon since I am trying to get more into photography but I can not part with this camera.

We  used  too  have  a  bigger  canon  camera  but  my  wife  wanted  a  camera  that  would  fit  in  her  purse  but  I  still  wanted  a  camera  that  took  great  photos  and  this  camera  was  the  ultamite  compromise!  This camera  is  great  because  it  has  a  rechargeable  battery  meaning  we  don't  have  to  go  through  a  ton  of  batteries. It  takes  great  pictures.  It  even  has  a  smile  feature  where  the  camera  will  only  take  pictures  if  all of  the  people  are  smiling.  How  great  of  a  feature  is  that?  It also  has  great  landscape  options  and close  up  options. Although  this  camera  isn't  as  good  as  an  SLR  it  is  a  great  camera  and  it  is  very  handy  to  take  in  a  hiking  bag  or a diaper  bag  to  catch  all those  wonderful  moments. This  camera  has  lasted  us  the  longest  any  digital  camera  we've  ever  owned!

Where do I begin with how much I love this camera?? It is absolutely amazing! I used to own several different types of cameras, and I knew Sony made excellent mp3 players but I didn't really think of them in regards to cameras a whole lot. I researched this camera a lot before I bought it and I was pretty sure I knew the camera inside and out by the time I clicked the "confirm order" button. And boy, was I not disappointed! This camera has it all, it has professional camera quality without the big bulk and expensive price. My boyfriend has the Sony Alpha DSLR and when I compared this "point and shoot" type camera to his professional one, I could barely tell the difference. I did not want to be bogged down with the manual focus, and this camera has automatic focus that never fails to do what I imagine the picture to look like. I have no complaints what-so-ever about this camera. Way to go Sony! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a camera that is easy to use, takes amazing pictures and is cost effective.

**The Sony - Cybershot HX1 Digital Camera** is the best camera I have ever owned.  I have owned Canon cameras and Kodak cameras and this surpasses those by far.  My husband bought this for me as a gift and I'm so glad he did.  I probably never would have payed this much for a camera on my own, but it's worth it.  I have 3 small children and I love this camera because it catches so much, so quickly.  I can take tons of shots in no time so I have so many to choose from.  It has easy settings for those who don't want to mess with settings and it also has tons of other options.  I love the manual setting so you can adjust the light as well as photograph in black and white and sepia.  I am not in any way a professional photographer - FAR from it, but the pictures I've taken with this camera are excellent and could certainly pass as professional!  The quality is amazing and I would suggest this camera to anyone!

This Sony is without a doubt the best camera I have ever owned and I have owned many. I have recently taken it on a trip to San Francisco and it produced amazing crystal clear pictures. It has incredible features that are so much fun to mess around with. I am so glad that I decided to get this camera because it made picture taking so much easier. This camera has one of the best zooms I have ever seen. The battery lasts forever and it holds thousands of pictures. This camera is one of the best that sony has made (out of all of its ultra zoom cameras). The camera has amazing ultrazoom capabilities, not to mention the best panorama mode I have ever seen! The fact that it can shoot 10 clear pictures per second is amazing I highly recommend that you buy this camera.

With my old digital camera either the battery was going dead after 10 min or the card was filled up and when that perfect shot was calling out I couldn't take it. For my birthday my cats and husband bought me a **Sony DSC-HX1 digital camera** and I so love it and having a blast. This Digital camera is a 9.1 mega pixels/CMSO Sensor, 20X optical zoom, HD movie. I think this puppy could make coffee if it wanted to it does so much. It has a face/smile detection...it won't do the shot until the camera detects someone smiling or laughing (cool hey?), it has a 3" LCD screen in the back that pops out if you want to take lower pictures while your still standing and you can still see your shot and if it's bright out you can still see what your shooting, 9 point auto fucus, and if I had to much coffee and I am shaky this camera will take care of that issue too. I also always wanted to take some cool shots for fireworks and with the "burst" opt, I can do it, If I want to do shot after shot after shot real fast I can do that (I have fun with the cats on that one) or I could use the movie opt and have fun making mini movies). A really great part is I won't be surprised when my battery goes dead.  It lets me know how much life it has left and all I do is pop it out and toss it in the charger...charges in 10 min (theres a switch). The pictures are so crisp so great, I so can't wait till spring to take many, many, many pictures of my flowers and the cats are getting used to this camera...they have been our photo models since we bought it HA. I still have a lot to learn about my new camera, but I am having so much fun with it and I can't wait till spring when I plant my Victorian flower garden, so I can not only get a nice crisp picture, but that flying bee or humming bird.  I might even get brave to enter a few photo contests...So excited The Sony DSC-HX1 Cyber-shot is a camera that I recommend.
