Sony - Cybershot H9 Digital Camera Review Summary
Digital cameras are highly popular ways to take pictures and most of them are relatively compact in size. One camera that looks more like a piece of professional photography equipment is the
Sony Cybershot H9 Digital Camera. This camera is praised by reviewers for several reasons, including its great zoom capabilities, nice size LCD screen, and convenient customization features. The Sony Cybershot H9 Digital Camera is the
“Most Enjoyable Camera I’ve Ever Owned”, according to one reviewer, but some are quick to point out problems with the Sony Cybershot H9 Digital Camera, like the fact that it requires a special battery and has a shutter lag that could cause photographers to miss important shots. But the Sony Cybershot H9 Digital Camera is still a very good
Digital Camera with a consensus rating that makes it better than average.

I purchased this camera to do close up photography for ebay and other sights. It has a macro setting but not to the degree I was hoping for. The camera has a great telephoto lens and can do just about as much as an SLR camera can do but for a lot less money and fewer lenses (only one). It has a good size LCD screen (3") but is a little difficult to see in bright sun light. The camera has a lens hood to cut down on sun refelction. THis helps but if you are shooting wide, you'll need to crop the hood off the picture. The camera has a continus shooting setting. This is great for taking…

A pretty solid camera really. It does take a bit to learn and get used to, but at the price, it is a pretty good camera. Pretty solid auto features and manual over-rides. 15x zoom is awesome and the steady shot is pretty good. The built in flash has a terrific range of something like 45 feet, and the wide lens goes all the way out to 30mm, which is pretty solid. The sports mode stop action is terrific, and I have taken tennis pictures with the 15 zoom all the way out at indoor courts and stopped action. It gets a bit noisy in low light, but…

I have two very active teens and my Sony H9 camera is great. I purchased the camera to take pictures at football, volleyball, baseball, softball games etc. . . I paid approximately $450 for the camera and about six months later decided to purchase a zoom lens for $99. When using the zoom I can sit at the top of the stadium and get close up pictures on the field. The camera has fast action capability and is great. I purchased a memory card for an additional $35 and the camera holds over 1,500 pictures. The school yearbook and the local paper has…

The Sony DSC-H9is a truly simple camera to own and operate. I was looking for a camera that would perform for someone who doesn't have time to study about aperture, shutter speeds, etc. but want to have it at my disposal when I'm ready to learn. The camera has adequate 8.1 mega-pixels and the optical zoom is 15X which got me up close to nature subjects without disturbing them. It is equipped with Super Steady Shot and has MPEG Movie capability as well. My first opportunity to use it was on vacation in Maui and from waterfalls to sunsets, the results were…

an internet addict, loving my digital camera, technically savvy, will pay for quality, Every day computer user, impressed with this product
Initially we were looking for a cheaper camera to replace one we recieved free from dell. After looking in several stores and online we decided we would buy this one for our Christmas gift, and spend the extra money. After having it for several months now, I have to say, we made the right choice. Pictures are excellent. Battery life is very good and with the addition of a memory stick, we have 500-600 pictures available to take. Setup is easy and the zoom is excellent for nature photograhpy. The only cons with this camera are the lens cap gets ejected when you turn it on and the port for the…

SONY DSC-H10...incredible camera and well worth the money!! 10x zoom, 8.1 mega pixels, 3" LCD monitor and steady shot. I have taken some fascinating pictures with this camera, as well as video, and I would highly recommend it to everyone. Clear pictures with beautiful color. The variety of flashes, colors, motions and options on this camera are perfect for everyone from the amateur to the more experienced photographer. This camera is easy to use. The only negative thing is that it does not have an automatic lens cover...other than that, I'm sticking with this…

Took me a long time to switch from a 35mm SLR camera because I didn't think the digital cameras took as good of photos. But I was wrong! My husband bought me this camera for my birthday about 6 months ago, and now I am trying to sell my 35mm camera! The photos are wonderful. I love being able to edit and delete photos as soon as I am through taking pictures. No more wasting money on photos I don't want or aren't good enough. Highly recommend this camera. Easy to use and many great…

This is a great camera. It is a little complex to set-up, but once you get it figured out, you can take great pictures. The video feature is really nice on the camera. This is the only camera you'll ever need. Much cheaper than the Digital SLR cameras, but it has just about the same amount of options and you can buy custom lenses for it as well. The Sony brand is dependable and you do pay for it, but I feel it is worth every…

I was in love with this camera until it broke. The shutter button fell right off. TWICE. And they wanted $181 to fix it. a little.. plastic.. button. almost 200 bucks to fix. I've been looking on webpages, and this seems to happen a lot. But Sony won't acknowledge that or fix it for a cheaper price. Honestly, I'm tired of Sony and their bad customer service. I loved this camera.. but Sony ruined it for…

I had been looking at digital camera for two years. I usually left confused with too many options Finally, I read about the H 9. This feature rich camera looks like a much more expensive model and provides all the bell and whitles you would want; save being a professional. I am truly having fun and looking like a pro.…
