My daughter receive the sony cybershot for Christmas. She has had bad luck with cameras in the past, always dropping them or breaking them in some way. The sony cybershot digital camera has withstood the test. She has had since december and its still intact and working fine. She did drop it once and...

i like my sony cybershot. ive had it since winter 2004 and its still ticking! granted, i have had to send it to customer service twice for the same problem within the first year. after year 1: no warranty!

after 1 year, you need to buy a new digital camera anyway because of all the technology changes....

This camera lasted less than 10 months.  The motherboard went.  Sony wanted to charge $125 just to look at it.  To fix it would have cost more that it would cost for a new camera.  I contacted Sony's corporate office and did receive a call from soneone who had no authority to do anything but breathe.  I offered to split the cost with Sony.  The woman said she would get back to me and I am still waiting 2 years later.  It's bad enough that the camera broke in less than a year.  I understand these things happern but the real insult was Sony's attitude.  They have absolutely no concept...

I got this camera 2 years ago , with the regular battery I had problems to close the lens, it got stuck open, after I bought a rechargeble batteries I fixed the problçem

The good: Relatively decent low-light photos; reasonable wide-angle lens; extra flash reach; built-in neutral-density filter.

The bad: No video outputs; few manual controls.

The bottom line: Solid high-ISO performance and a relatively wide-angle view are among the features that make the Sony Cyber Shot DSC-S600 a versatile budget-priced 6-megapixel camera for casual snapshooters.

Specs: Digital camera type: Compact; Resolution: 6...

My husband and I bought this camera for our daughter last Christmas (she was 11 at the time).  Worked great out of the box with little or no explanation of features.  She ALWAYS has her camera with her and has enjoyed taking pictures of herself, her friends, her pets and places we have visited.  She takes the memory stick out of the camera, puts in on the computer and makes DVD's (her own movies with music) using Nero.  We don't have to help her at all.  I would recommend this for children her age and up, definitely easy to use and FUN!!

Great little camera for taking quick pictures of whatever you want. It has a little screen on the back of the camera for viewing the last few pictures that you took. YOu can choose to delete the picture at that time or save it for later. Takes great outdoor pictures and has clear good quality pictures. Easy to download pictures to the computer and each picture can be changed or saved as you go. It fits into my pocket ( I actually have mine in a cell phone case) and I take mine everywhere I go.

The Sony Cyber-shot with 8.1 megapixels is the best camera I've ever owned! It takes videos too! You can even crop your photos while they are in your camera, add graphics, delete, save, and do many other things with your photos. The viewing screen is enormous and everyone is always so envious of my screen. It's easy to use and one can quickly upload photos onto the computer and share with friends. It's such a great way to stay in touch!

The Sony Cyber-shot digital camera has outstanding picture stabilization and a slaved optical viewer which makes it a great camera for older, less technically oriented users.  Ease of use is the primary selling feature along with the compact size, light weight, and simple to install photographic software.  You can take this camera out of the box using automatic settings and start taking good photographs immeadiately.

I'm extremely happy with this purchase!  I'm a college student who enjoys taking many pictures of friends, family, or whatever interesting sights I may come across.  I'm not very tech savvy...with cameras OR computers, so I was pleasantly surprised when I found the software was so easy to use!  The camera is small, so it fits into all my tiny purses and follows me everywhere I go :)

I travel on a weekly basis for work and pleasure. I love this camera bacause it is easy to use and very lightweight. Downloading photos is easy. I am amzed by the quality of the photos and am often complimented on how nice my pictures look. I am going to buy one of these for my mom and a christmas gift this year because I know that she will be able to use it even though she is not a techie.

I spent above my budget because the salesperson at Circuit City said Sony is the best brand to buy. This camera had a lot of options, in order to make easy picture taking look professional. However, many pictures turned out blurry and the quality was not what I hoped for. I would have more to say but it broke soon after I bought it and I am in the process of having it fixed.

This camera is easy to use and easy to handle. The photographs are beautiful. They really come out focused and looking great. I take a lot of pictures of my dogs that move around a lot (they refuse to stay still for a picture) but the picture still comes out great. I've had the camera for quite a while now. I hope they still make this brand so you can get one.

The camera is great when it works.  It takes high quality pictures and videos.  Mine has broken twice now.  A friend has already had to completely replace the battery ($50 worth) and she just got hers a couple of months ago.  Another friend, though, has not had any problems with it.  It may depend on what store you buy it at...

We were taking a trip to Hawaii, didn't have a camera to speak of, purchase the Sony Cybershot, very user friendly, and takes great pictures, also took some movies, just a fun camera. It is small, I have the carrying case they recommended.

My son loves borrowing it, I bought him one for Christmas.

overall, the sony cybershot is an okay camera. I would recommend it to my friends, but I would encourage them to get a Canon first. I purchased this camera by accident. I was aiming for a Canon, but they were out, so I took the Sony, but I do not regret it. I just know that I could have done better.
