Had to buy an entry-level dslr camera for my parent's trip and this specific model was an excellent choice. What really drew me into buying this specific camera was the viewfinder; I like how it can be removed from the body of the camera and can be tilted. This option also comes in handy when trying to capture photos of babies on the floor and you don't want to go all the way down on the floor with them. Overall the quality of the pictures are superb with 10 megapixels per photo. I can zoom into their photos and see things very clearly, not grainy or fuzzy at all. The zooming function is also really great and can go for several meters. One of the best things about this camera is its ability to capture really incredible night shots due to its various ISO options. The menu is quite simple, simple enough that you really don't need to read the instruction manual - you can figure it out on your own just exploring the camera itself. It's a fair and good deal for the price.

While there may be better DSLR cameras available to the masses, there are very few "wallet friendly" with any admirable features. The Sony A300 (part of the Alpha series) is a mid to entry level DSLR camera continuing up the number chain in Sony's model. For the price point, the camera has a few standout features that beginning camera users will find helpful, most of which being the "live-view" mode. Most point and click camera users will never even put their eye up to the viewfinder and some newer cameras do not even include them, so the ability to view the screen live through the LCD works as a transition to using the viewfinder. The second is the kit lens that is included features a broader range than most other Entry DSLR cameras at 18-70mm over 55mm as many as used to having quite a large zoom right at their fingertips. On a personal note, this is my third Sony digicam, and not because they broke. In fact, all three are still in use by my hands from time to time, depending on the situation. They are just high quality cameras.

Ive had my Sony A300 DSLR for about 2 years now. When I first purchased it I would keep it on automatic mode cause I was worried the other features would be far to advanced. But once I read the manual and started to play with the dial and all the options I had on it, it was so easy to use. I love the self cleaning sensor (which will come in handy.) One of my favorite things about this camera is the tilt screen. Im very short and this has came in handy so many times, and when taking photos I love getting down on the ground for a fun perspective and the tilt screen lays flat so I dont have to! I have had to send my camera in for some maintance but sony was very helpful/decently priced/ and quick for the repairs.

The sony cybershot a300 digital camera is a great camera!!  I was in the market for a great camera, when a friend reccommened this one.  I am so glad i got it!  It does everything I need it to do, and alot extra!  the view screen flips up for times when you cannot see what you are shooting at camera level.  All of the features are great!!  Takes great pictures.  I have taken family portraits, landscapes, etc with this camera, and have never been disappointed!  The pictures come out very professional looking.  Has a timer for taking group photos.  The zoom on this is great. By far the best camera I have ever owned.  At first I was scared of it.  It was a lot to take in, and a little overwhelming with all of the features, and things it can do.  But with a little patience, and practice, I can take the best pictures!  If you are in the market for a great camera, deffinately check this one out when you are deciding.  well worth every penny!

ever since i have gotten the Sony A 300 DSLR Digital Camera everyone comments on how great my pictures come out. it is very easy to use. The lens are great for zooming in and out. The clairity of the pictures are fantastic. I love the viewfinder how it comes out and you can adjust so you can get shots when others are in your way. it is easy to switch out the lens. you really can use this Sony A-300 DSLR Digital Camera for everyday things or the really impotrtant events in your life.  We have taken our own family pitures and people think we have had them professionally done. I would recommend to buy the telephoto lens for this camera. We did and photos from far off distances are so clear it's like you were up close at the time of the shot. And lastly i would also recommend you to but a tripod so you can take photos with others and you also be in the shots as well. This camera does have a timer for you to be included in the photos as well.
