 I think that this camera would please the average consumer, and most likely others as well. The Camera has an extremely good battery life, and is very fast. Perfect for taking quick snapshots. Face detection and image stabilization make your pictures turn out better; and features work well. There are many automatic and manual settings to satisfy most people.

Definitely this camera is not for people looking to buy a high end camera. The limited zoom and lack of pro features (such as an electronic viewfinder, more manual settings and a further reaching flash) would prevent taking truly professional...

When I am interested in purchasing any new products, I go to my brother who researches everything before he buys. I noticed he had a new digital camera and since I was in the market for one, I knew the Sony DSC-W80, would be a good product if he purchased one. I wanted something easy to use and not too expensive. This camera fits the bill. It is so easy to use, not only takes great photos, but movies as well! I love that it comes in colors (I got pink) and is small enough to fit in a pocket or purse. It isn't expensive either, about $200.00. If you are in the market for a digital camera, I'd reccommend...
