This is a great camera for on-the-go people because it is very compact and easy to carry around, either in your purse, diaper bag, pocket, etc. It takes good pictures and is pretty easy to use, in fact my 4-year-old can operate it. I use a DSLR for all of my "photography" pictures, but this one does the job for everyday use and times when I don't want to lug around my big camera. Image Quality 10.1 MP gives good quality pictures for everyday use. Ease of Use Very basic camera, my 4-year-old can operate it. Durability This camera has help up well around my 2 kids so I rate it at a 5. Battery Life Very good. I use the batteries that are made for digital cameras and last a little longer. I love this camera. It is by far the best one I have ever owned. Is is very easy to use. It is easy to download the pictures to your computer or other devices. The touch screen is awesome. The video function is simple and easy to use and produces good quality videos. The only problem is now that I have a good camera on my iPhone I tend to use that more than my sony cybershot becuase it is on me all the time. I would recommend this camera to everyone who is in the market for a digital camera. In addition, next time I'm in the market for a new digital camera, I will buy another sony cyber shot camera without hesitation.

I purchased this camera because it was a 10MP camera with a record video option.  I knew the video recording was not HD, so I was not expecting it to look spectacular.  The record quality was about average for a normal SD camera, so it won't be replacing a standard HD camcorder or anything.  As a camera, it functions quite well, and takes solid pictures.  There is a fair delay after pressing the button as it attempts to "focus" on the subject.  This does tend to lead to more blurry pictures, or missing the perfect photo-op for kids and animals that don't know to stand still for just a bit longer.  If you are able to catch it right, though, the picture quality is respectible.  It will not replace a professional camera, but for most people that just take occasional photos, this will provide a low cost option that will take good quality pictures.  I would recommend this camera for anyone looking for a camera without breaking the bank.

This is our third Sony Cyber-shot.  We have found them to be reliable cameras that take pretty good pictures.  Though I'd love to think of myself of an amazing photographer the truth is the only reason our pictures come out decent is because of this camera.  It has a steady-shot feature that keeps my shaking hands from ruining every picture.  I can take mini-movies. I have taken some beautiful up-close pictures of beautiful flowers.  It has an easy shot feature that takes all the guessing out of a good picture.  This particular model has a 4x optical zoom to get you a little closer to whatever your spying.  I have found the battery to have a reliably long life before recharging and really appreciate that the charger came with the camera.  It has a timer feature so that you can take delayed pictures, just in case there is no one else to hold the camera.  I don't like that I can't get the date imprinted on the pictures.  It will show you inside the camera what date you took them on and when you upload to your computer but you can't print them out with the info on it.  Other than that, I will be loyal to Sony!!

I absolutely love my digital camera. I purchased it before my freshman year of college (I'm currently a junior), and it has served me well through the ups and downs. I knew I wanted a camera with a rechargeable battery, because when I start taking pictures... if there isn't some kind of battery power limit, I could easily continue taking pictures beyond the life of the battery (and cost myself a small fortune!). I researched a variety of cameras, and the 10.1 megapixel lens on this one (for the quite decent price I got it for) made it completely worth it. There are days I don't like my camera. It didn't come with a wristlet cord or an SD card (like the camera my parents currently have). This was unfortunate, because I have space in the side of my computer for an SD card, but not for a memory stick. I have to connect the camera via USB port, which is a pain in the neck. Keep this in mind before you purchase a new car.

My parents got this camera for my daughter when she went on a Washington DC trip.  I have since taken it over because it takes better pictures than my digital camera!  The zoom is sufficient for most things and it has different settings to take better pictures depending on your surroundings and the subject of your picture.  Most of the time we just use it on the easy setting.  The flash is good and so it the red-eye reduction.   The video setting works good to and the sound is pretty good coming from this little camera!  It has great memory space so you can take tons of pictures and not have to worry about running out of room.  My daughter took over 500 pictures on her trip and still had room to spare!  The battery life is great and the charger is small enough that it can fit into the camera bag so we can take it with us on trips.  The picture also download really easily.  The quality of the picture is much better than my other digital.  The colors are great and the picture is crisp and clear.  I can tell which pictures I take with the Sony and which ones I take with my other one.    My only complaint with this camera is pictures taken in a gym setting don't turn out as well but that's how it is with most small digitals.  So it ranks with the other ones on that aspect.  As far as ease of use, it is great.  It didn't take long at all to figure it out.  My daughter was 8 when she went on her trip and she had it figured out before she got out of the driveway!  The screen is a nice size to see the pictures you have taken clearly.  Over all this camera is a great deal, especially for the price.  I would recommend it to any one looking for a small digital camera to use for everyday life!

I'm usually great with technology...except for digital cameras. Usually, they have so many buttons and symbols that it's hard to figure out how to even turn on the flash. The Sony Cybershot is the exception. You have a nice little wheel with symbols, and it labels them on the display as you turn the wheel, so you always know what you're selecting. Options are easy to read and select, and if you want more functionality, the camera offers that, too. The zoom is great, too. Overall it is a very good camera for the price. It does, however, use a memory stick instead of an SD card. Personally that's not a problem, and if your computer doesn't ahve a slot for a memory stick, the camera comes with a cord to plug into your computer and download your pictures. For video, the sound is a little quiet, but otherwise not bad. The Cybershot is a very good camera for anyone who wants nice digital photos without the hassle.

The Sony DSC-S950 takes great pictures. I like the zoom. The dial for selecting type of shot is especailly easy to use.  The LCD screen is nice and large. The battery has a good lifetime between charges. It is also easy to download the pictures to my camera. I also like being able to put a memory card in and save many more pictures. I do wish the memory card was the same size as most of the slots that are available on multimedia computers. I have to put it in an adapter or use my cord. It is also easy to view the pictures that are stored on the computer. This is nice for showing pictures to people while still at an event.I guess about the only thing that I dislike is that it takes so long for a shot to take. When you press the shutter the picture does not take immediately. There is quite a delay. When taking pictures of kids or other action scenese this camera often misses the picture I intended to take.

This camera is extremely easy to use! The different settings are changed though knobs instead of buttons which make it easier to see which mode you are in. There are 5 different settings for taking pictures and a video recording mode. The Auto Adjustment setting is the easiest for taking regular pictures. It automatically adjusts to light settings and uses subject detection. There are 4 flash settings and 2 focus settings. The self-timer is available for 2 second delay or 10 second. The display screen is almost 3 inches wide with a great quality. The camera has 10.1 megapixels and 4x optical zoom. When recording a video, the sound quality is much better than I would've expected from a little digital camera. I have a 8 GB Sony Memory Stick and I can fit over 1900 pictures of medium quality.  The camera is also very stylish and pretty looking. It's very hard for me to find something about this camera that I don't like. It was a little more expensive than I normally pay for the excellent quality of pictures I get and the ease of use, it's well worth the money.
