I love it.... This is the greatest I mean the greatest greatest greastest camcorder.  I love it.  Did I say that I love it.  It takes great I mean great shots.  It is wonderful.  Everyone needs one.  I really mean it, every single person needs one.  It is great to save memories of the kids or family events.  I love it and everyone needs one.

I am very pleased with my purchase. This camcorder is very light, and is almost the size of a digital camera. For a 60 GB sony camcorder, I can't believe the price I have paid. Recording was of excellent quality. I couldn't find any weaknesses so far. Some people say lack of viewfinder is a weakness, but in all my past camcorder use, I have always used the LCD to view what I am recording, and not the viewfinder even when there was one. So that was not a weakness for me. And I just love the one touch DVD recording this camera allows me to make.

The sony is very convenient, compact and easy to use, however...if it is great video quality that you are after, this is not the camera for you.  The set up for transfering files to the computer was very easy, but when reviewing the video, it was not the quality that I would have expected.  The audio is not great either.

From afar, the right side of the HV20 has a familiar horizontal design akin to the Sony HC7, albeit with a fresh coat of silver paint. These camcorders have similar tape hatch designs. Only on the HV20, you'll find the microphone jack, AV/headphone jack, and component terminal hiding behind a rubberized port cover toward the lens end of the camcorder. Although we've blasted Canon in the past for equipping their camcorders with flimsy plastic port covers, the HV20 proudly sports a burly, flexible enclosure. Mounting both the mic and headphone jacks in one location is easy on the memory. But because Canon condensed the headphone and AV jacks into one, make sure you manually select the correct mode, or you'll be treated to a raucous surprise outlined in the Audio section.

We have had this camera for about a month and I just love it.  It's easy to use, and so small compared the the camera we use to use.  I love the fact that you can play back your recordings on the camera and have sound.  It is so convenient to charge.  You just place the whole camera, in the base to charge.  There is no need to disconnect the battery.  It has a huge memory and the fact that it records directly to hard drive is a bonus.  No more tapes of even DVDs.  It's terrific.

I love this camcorder!  The dock makes it so easy to charge the battery and transfer my videos into my computer to put straight into a DVD.  I also love the fact that the Hard Drive is so large that you can store so many videos before you really have to do anything with them versus changing a tape in the middle of filming.

Well sony has out done themselves again.. One of my most trusted companies, I would probably by anything from sony. The Sony - DCR SR82 Camcorder is an awesome camcorder. I just love this Sony - DCR SR82 Camcorder. I am very pleased with the quality of the camcorder. We have had this camera for a while now and the whole family enjoys the ease of the camcorder. This camcorder is not only lightweight but very remarkable and has such an easy operation. The Sony - DCR SR82 Camcorder is such a compact little camera. I love how it fits snug in your hands, it is small, not all big and bulkly like some of those other camcorders. One of the features I like the most about the Sony - DCR SR82 Camcorder is the ease of transferring images to a computer. I can put the videos right on my computer then they are there easily handy and ready to put on a DVD. The quality of the images are remarkable. I really like the docking station and the rechargeable battery. The Sony - DCR SR82 Camcorder was a bit on the expensive side. But anyone can use the camcorder if you are willing to pay for quality. I believe it was well worth the money spent. I think that this is an easy to use camcorder and that anyone could probably run it. I hope this review helps you decide if you are too going to invest in  the Sony - DCR SR82 Camcorder.

I purchased this camera mainly for use in my classroom. It was easy to use and did not need much instruction. Having been my first cam corder, I would have liked a good instruction booklet. It only comes with a quick start. The usage was fine but if one is not used to uploading to a computer it can be frustrating. I also would have liked to know ahead of time that once you upload you cannot upload to another device. The sound was good. The picture was clear even in the lower light. I have bought another nanme brand since this purchase and always end up going back to using this sony because of the recording quality. Still have not figured how to erase images and do several other things since there was no instructions for such. There is no tech support.

This camcorder has been in our home for a few months now. I really like it because i am able to take great quality videos of my kids and my family as well. Another reason i love this camcorder is because it is so compact. The small size helps me to travel anywhere i want to with it and it also is a great size for taking on vacation. the camcorder has a great screen that is easy for me to pop out so that i can view what i am looking at. The compact disc that i put in the camcorder is a really good size as well. I am able to put it in the cam cordereasily and also in my computer when i want to upload the video to it. The camcorder battery lasts a long time so that i can use it for an extended amount of time. The image quality is pretty good as well.

I was very excited when I received this camcorder. It's the most convenient handicam I'd seen. very compact, and easy to manipulate. However, it just did not live up to my expectations or the hype I had heard. I noticed that the quality of the video, even in HQ setting is grainy and a bit washed out. To make things worse, in low light or indoor setting the video captured is very disappointing. You can see yellow and green spottings throughout the screen. The voice quality is very poor. While you can hear the person taking video, you can barely hear the people you are trying to hear unless you are in a very quiet setting. I just didn't expect that one of the newest sony products out there would give me similar results as my panasonic camcorder that I had bought 10 years ago.. SORRY SONY, THIS ONE DID NOT LIVE UP TO MY EXPECTATIONS.
