..."Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse"...

Believe me, you hear it all, especially as a new parent. Fast forward two years and I'm sleeping like a rock. But, it took a while to get to here! When I was a "new mom" every odd little baby breath kept me on edge. Finally I moved into the nursery,...

I have mixed feelings about this baby monitor. It is a great monitor in one major way: it allows the parent to turn it to "voice activated only" mode where you dont have to listen to white noise from the baby's nursery the whole time it is turned on. I loved that. BUT the negatives are numerous. It only...

The Sony Baby Call was recommended by a friend and I am so thankful she did! It is awesome. It had 2 different choices, regular-which all monitors have and you can hear the constant static, or VOICE which is heavenly! The monitor is silent until the baby moves or makes a noise. So it only picks up noises in the room.

The monitor also has an alarm that beeps at you if you are out of range with the base.

I feel very safe with this monitor in my child's room. I also love that the monitor has rechargeable batteries! So, in 9 months I have never had to put new batteries in there because they...

We have two of these monitors and they both work great.  One is in my 5-month old's room and one is in my 2-5-year old's room.  We have one child set to all green and one child set to all yellow.  That way, I can switch between the two rooms with my parent unit.  I rarely move them around, but like that I have the option with the rechargeable battery in the parent units.  I can sleep more soundly knowing this monitor will pick up my children's noises in their rooms.  However, the range/battery alarm does occasionally beep randomly and this monitor does sometimes interfere with my cellular... read full review »

Although we co slept the first year, this monitor was a must have.  I am so glad we bought it, we actually purchased a secocnd so that we could have one in his room if he napped there, or one in ours if he napped there. Now that I have two kids (one on the way anyway) napping in different rooms I can have one in each room and always able to listen.
If we switch channels we can hear our neighbors who live all the way across the building, so it has good range.

Sony Babycall.  This is the best monitor on the market.  I tried three others before getting this one (it was recommended to me by two friends).  It has a ton of channels to choose from and has very little interference.  The best part is that when I had a second child, I was able to get another one and just set it to a different channel.  Every other monitor I tried had tons of interference/static, especially when I had another monitor turned on in the house.  Some of the other monitors even let me hear conversations that my neighbors were having (very scary). It is rechargable as well,...

The Sony Baby Call monitor is so sensitive, you can hear every breath your baby takes. The first time I used it, I turned the volume up and was jarred awake when my baby cried. It was LOUD! We've since learned to turn it down! It's so sensitive, that even upstairs, it can pick up the sound of a television being played in the living room below.

While the base unit stays plugged in in baby's room, the other, rechargeable unit can be plugged in by your bed or taken along to any area of the house. It has a handy carrying handle on top and a belt clip on back to keep it securely with you. And, if you...

We bought this monitor because it has such a great reputation for being reliable and having a good range.  Unfortunately, it really hasn't lived up to all we had hoped.  We live in an average 2 bedroom condo-- about 1250 sq feet.  I can be in the room next to my daughter's bedroom, and if the cat walks by the monitor it will say it's out of range.  We've tried just about every combination of frequencies, and that only seems to help marginally.  And, not only does it frequently say it's out of range when it's not, but it also clicks like it's getting static interference.  It's loud enough...

I bought this Sony BabyCall baby monitor because of the price, it wasn't the cheapest, but it had decent reviews.  It works well, I haven't had it run out of battery power on me yet, and it is very sensitive at picking up baby's every peep.  However I have noticed that on some days, for no apparent reason, the "out of range" alert beeps like crazy even though it isn't out of range.  I thought this might be due to the reciever being on a different channel as the unit, but I haven't adjusted the channels so that can't be the case.  Also if there is a cell phone anywhere near, it picks up the...

This monitor works very well, has great clarity and a very long range. It works very well and we like it quite a lot.
However, it beeps really annoyingly when ... well, we really had to do some detective work to find out why and to fix it, as this doesn't seem to be documented anywhere. We had a Sony cordless phone and we found out that if that uses certain channels, it interferes with the baby monitor and causes this really annoying noise. I am still not sure if this is supposed to be an out of range noise or an acoustic feedback, but it suddenly went away after we changed channels of our cordless...

Sony Babycall Nursery Monitor is the best monitor out there- hands down. We bought 3 other monitors for our baby and all either produced too much static, or did not have the range we wanted. We came across the Sony Babycall and it was crystal clear and far reaching. We have a big yard, so often at nap time we like to work in the garden- having a reliable monitor is very important to us. I also like that the monitor is rechargeable and has different channels to choose from. When we had our second child, we again purchased a Sony BabyCall Monitor. We now use both of them and have no problems whatsoever....

rechargable battery, great image quality, easy to mount anywhere, Beltclip for mobility, Day/Night Vision, lightweight and portable.

his monitor is a life saver!  Many people will tell you that it is a waste of money to buy a monitor with a video feature but consider that you can quickly peek at baby to see if she is safe without going into the room.  It has a great power save feature and it automatically recharges itself  when you plug it in. You can control the volume and brightness level and it has 2 channels so you can avoid static.  It does still sometimes have static and you need...

The Sony NTM-910 900 MHz BabyCall Nursery Monitor is a must have.  It allows you to feel secure that your baby is safe in their room.  There is a sound activated setting, which allows you to only listen when there is a sound in the room.  This product allows me to sleep peacefully throughout the night without worrying that my daughter is in some kind of distress in her room.  We have cats, so I am not comfortable to leave her bedroom door open through the night.  You can also take this monitor a good distance and still hear.  I often take it outside while my daughter is napping to do yard...

I purchased this monitor because it was priced well.  The problem I have with the monitor is that it makes a clicking noise if you turn the monitor up to hear the babies noises.  The clicking noise is very annoying and at night when I am trying to sleep it keeps me up.  Because I had purchased it at Babies R Us and did not have my receipt I could not return or exchange.  I did email Sony about the problem, but it was difficult to explain the problem through an email.  I have had the monitor for over a year and still use it for my toddler.  I am expecting my second child in a few months and...
