Make sure you have the tv hooked up correctly for best picture quality. That would include the type of picture (quality ie Hi def/ 1080p v.s. regular cable) and also the correct cables them selves. If the picture from a dvd player or from a cable box is not giving the tv enough picture quality, you will not see an above average picture.
