Sony BRAVIA KDL-40V2500 40 in. HDTV LCD Television —

This television has amazing quality for high-definition content. I was considering getting something more expensive with a higher refresh rate (hz), but I'm glad I didn't because I can't tell a difference between the quality of those sets and this one. And for an extra $1000 or more, its definitely not worth it.

One drawback to this television is that it often produces a subpar picture for non-HD content. If that's going to be the majority of what will be played on the television, I'd recommend something else.
