Sony - BRAVIA 50" KDF-50E3000 1080p Rear-Projection LCD HDTV Review

I bought this TV back in November, I almost bought the upper level SXRD model but in the end I decided to stick with the cheaper version. Oh and was I ever surprised. I of course haven't been able to compare the two TVs but I just gotta say my image is nothing short of stunning. Watching movies from an HD source, or just watching HD sports is mind blowing. I just got a Wii and hooked it up via component cables and I don't think I have ever seen Wii sports look that good.
The real surprise though, something which some reviewers have complained about, is the SD image. I was prepared to grimace every time I watched something not in HD, thankfully that is not the case. I watch a lot of classic movies on TCM and other cable movie channels and I have to say I am very impressed. Especially when watching an older movie the image is surprisingly sharp. This TV seems very very very similar to the upper level SXRD version (as far as features, image quality etc.) are concerned and if you are a little tight on money this TV is a great choice. I could not be happier with my choice.
