I have been using this Sony KDL-40V5100 HDTV for several months now, and getting it was the best decision I have made for large purchases. This is a 40 inches TV, about the right size for my apartment and I sit about 6 feet from the TV. Even sitting that far away the pictures still come out crisp and clear. KDL-40V5100 of course is an 1080P HDTV so you know it's the best out there, and it's also 120Hz for watching fast motion sports and movies. This HDTV is bravia link compatible so you can connect other bravia enabled entertainment systems and sound system or radio. KDL-40V5100 comes with 4 HDMI outputs so you can connect pretty much everything for a great entertainment setup. It's also wall mountable but I haven't tried that yet. I have always have good experience with Sony brand products, their customer service is also top notch. Only thing I don't like this TV is the remote control, it looks kind of old school.

*Pros:* Easy setup out of the box, the default picture settings are terrible but once you calibrate it the picture is amazing. I havent noticed any motion blur at all, and the amount of custimization in the tuning menu really lets you do whatever you want with this set. The power button on the back of the remote is convenient to for midnight browsing haha *Cons:* Cant think of any really.... its not very thin, but that wasnt a concern of mine. The clarity is on point, not too grainy with standard definition pictures.... Bought it for my bedroom.... I already have a projector for my theater and a 56" samsung in the living room and have spent more time in my bedroom for convenience sake. No regrets

I purchased this Sony HD television on a Black friday deal last year and at first, I was having some buyer's remorse but after plugging it in and watching everything from TV shows, Sports (basketball, football, baseball) and a bunch of movies via the Blu ray player of the PS3 and Netflix instant streaming movies, I can say that this was the best purchase I have EVER made. Really, I said EVER made. I watch TV a bit more often than before now, as a result of the picture quality of course! I also calibrated the TV a little, but I have to say, the picture quality and the color this screen yields are amazing! The sounds quality, the black effect, and everything else are well beyond my expectations. There are no issues that I can see with any pixelation, nor any shows or sports that have a quick scene. The TV also does not weigh very much, for a small guy such as myself, I was able to carry the TV from my car to my apartment going up one level of stairs. Love this TV!

This is the first TV my husband and I ever bought.  Our previous TVs were hand-me-downs.  We wanted to buy a TV that would let us participate in Digital TV (no more bunny ears!) and not have to deal with those blasted digital converter boxes that didn't work well for us.  So, we invested in Sony which we know to be a well-made and reliable product.  We're really happy we did.  Hooking the TV up to our cable was easy as was connecting the TV to our VCR (yes, we still have one) and Blu-ray player.  Trust me, if I can do it, you can do it.  The TV is crystal clear and we like the remote and features of the TV.  We also bought a Sony Blu-ray player and we've hooked up the entire system to our home network so we can get internet channels on our TV.  We're excited to connect the laptop directly to the TV to have even more Internet connectivity.  We've never been disappointed in Sony.  The products are well designed, work well, and look good too.

I've had the Bravia KDL-40V5100 for a while now and I absolutely love it! When I first set it up, I was ready to send it back because the picture was dim and if I tried to set brightness higher it grew misty and lost detail while remaining dark. I called Sony, their only suggestion was to take it back. After a few hours of messing around with it, I realized that because it was raining that day, it was dark so the light sensing dimmer feature was the reason why it was dimmed. When the sun came out, the brightness was fantastic. Even though it is not in the detail of features when I purchased the TV set. Sure enough, I found it buried in the manual which gives little space to it except for a mention that it is in the setup menu and can be turned off, which I immediately did. I have my Playstation 3 hooked up to it and the picture is phenomenal. The colors are vivid and the pictures are very clear. Bluray movies on it is fantastic. This was a wonderful purchase and definitely worth the money!
