Sonicare FlexCare RS930 with Sanitizer Review

Previous dentists have recommended all sorts of dental products including Oral B electric toothbrushes and a WaterPik.  I have always been an advocate of good oral hygiene and tried these products based on the recommendations.  However, I have been somewhat disappointed with their performance and so I was very reluctant to try the Philips Sonicare Flexcare electric toothbrush when my latest dentist recommended it.  Well, after several years I finally caved and bought one...

While pricy, the Philips Sonicare FlexCare Toothbrush RS930 with UV Sanitizer is an excellent product.  It is unlike any toothbrush that I have every used.  It cleans the teeth extremely well to the point that they feel super smooth and clean just like coming out of a cleaning at the dentist's office!  I am extremely impressed with its performance and would never go back to using a regular oscillating Oral B toothbrush.  For the cleanest teeth at home, get a Philips Sonicare FlexCare Toothbrush!

This particular models comes with the UV Sanitizer feature.  Some may question its usefulness, but I have found it extremely valuable to have.  Consider what happens when you are sick with a cold, flu, or similar.  Brushing your teeth with the same infected toothbrush will just perpetuate the sickness.  However, pop the brush head into the UV Santizer to clean and santize it and all of the germs are gone without having to throw it out.  Toothbrushes - especially replacement toothbrush heads - are expensive, so using the sanitizer helps get more use out of a brush head especially when you may be sick.  Regardless, regular periodic cleaning is a good way to keep your brush heads free of germs and other bacteria that can be harmful to you teeth and gums.

There are two sizes of brush heads available for the Philips Sonicare FlexCare Toothbrush:  compact and regular.  One of each comes with it in the box so you are able to see which one works best.  I prefer the compact size as it is easier to get around the teeth, especially on the backsides of the front teeth.  The brush heads also have interchangeable colored rings in order to identify the user if multiple people share the handle.
