I just got my Sonicare today and after having tried it out three times, I must say I'm impressed. I'm the kind of person who thoroughly enjoys playing with the latest gadgets, so when I heard about this, I knew I just had to give it a shot. Especially since I've realized that I must find a better way to whiten my teeth without the use of chemical bleach because it causes my overly sensitive teeth a good amount of pain.

I got this Sonicare for free from Buzzagent.com, which is a good thing because I would never have bought this for $179. I have rule where I try to not to pay anything more than $30 for a toothbrush, electric or not.

I first tried this using the Go Care setting, which is essentially a quickie routine lasting about a minute and there will be a quadpacer signal every fifteen seconds. The quadpacer divides the teeth into four (upper-front, upper-back, lower-front, lower-back) and this will allow all of your teeth to have equal cleansing time.

The first thing I noticed is that it is incredibly loud... I am glad that I do not have a significant other sleeping in the room (while I'm in the bathroom with the door open) while I brush my teeth because if not, he'd complain from the noise. This almost sounds like a jackhammer.

I loved the way my gums were stimulated by the pulsing of the brush. I also felt that the sensation I was receiving was similar to the brush that the dentist uses during my annual visits, albeit less brutal.

After using the brush, I decided to put it in the UV sanitizer. I am still a little bit skeptical about this apparatus because I'm not quite sure how useful it is to have my brush UV sanitized after every use. Also, I cannot help but be concerned after reading their warning about how the UV light can be dangerous.

Quick Review:

1. Price $179

- If you have the money to spare, go ahead and get this. But if you don't, you can live without this product.

2. Performance Excellent

- The cleanest clean you will ever get. It even beats the dentist.

- My only gripe is that if you don't maneuver it correctly, you run the risk of the back end of the toothbrush (behind the bristles) hitting your teeth and that, my friend, will give you a big shocking pain you never want to feel again.
