Sonicare Essence e5300 Electric Toothbrush Review

I bought the Sonicare Essence e5300 for a few reasons.  1. it was recommended by our dentist, 2. we had a coupon.  Now both my husband and I use the same kind.  It was easy to use.  It is a bit messy for my small mouth even though the head and stick parts are small, somehow I still end up will lots of paste around my mouth.  It tells you to break up your brushing in your mouth in sections.  A.  top outside, B. top inside, C. bottom outside, and D. bottom inside.  Although, not necessarily in that order.  The toothbrush runs for 2 minutes so you get 30 seconds for each section.  This is great for making sure you concentrate on all areas.  I have noticed that I do get a whiter smile now when I do the outsides first and use whitening toothpaste. 

It is recommended to clean your toothbrush periodically.  I use a q-tips and the tip of a towel which work well.  Some parts of the toothbrush are even diswasher safe!!  Make sure you shake off your toothbrush after each brushing so you don't get a nasty slime build up when you do finally clean it.  I shake it and then wipe it with a towel before putting the cap on.  It has a plug in charger, but you can take just the toothbrush and case with you over the weekend and the battery won't die on you.
