My fiancee and I used an older version with both units lasting about a year and a half before they quit charging. After spending +/- $125.00 and finding that the only reason that they had to be thrown away was the 2 - $5.00 AA rechargable batteries, I was really disappointed. But, we were both so impressed by the performance, that we upgraded for about $135.00 and were really impressed by the newer version's performance. However, after using them less than a year, the rubber power button seal on my unit split away from the cartridge, allowing water to enter into the electronic portion of the unit. I quit using it to prevent further damage. Two days later, the exact same thing has happened to her cartridge body! If these units cannot be replaced, I will never again invest in this inferior product.
