I have been using my Sonicare Elite electric toothbrush for over four years and it's been great to have and definitely improves on my tooth brushing regiment. Since the toothbrush vibrates, it makes it easier to clean the teeth in the back of the mouth because you are no longer relying on a back and forth motion. The toothbrush also came with a hard travel case, that fits both the brush head and the handle, and a charger.

Battery life in the first year of use was a little over 2 weeks. It now lasts about 1 week before the orange light comes on to let you know that it needs to recharge. That's pretty good to me. However, in the past year, I've noticed that the intensity of the brush vibration does weaken over time, so it's necessary to recharge the brush more frequently if you want a more vigorous brushing experience. The other thing that contributes to less vigorous vibrations is the wearing down of the magnet in the brush. When I started buying replacement brushes a few years ago, the packaging says that they last 6 months. Nowadays, there is a 3 month replacement recommendation and I think it has to do with cheaper magnets.

Although my Sonicare Elite is still performing fairly well, I have been kind of hoping that the battery will die so that I have a reason to buy the newer version. One big reason is that the handle has gotten fairly gross. The rubber has broken down, so it can now absorb water and get moldy. I travel frequently for work, so I sometimes put the handle into the case and pack it away in a bag before letting it dry completely. I believe the moisture from the brush head and the part in the handle where the brush joins the handle did cause some of the mold growth. It doesn't bother me much, but it probably contributes to some poorer air quality. One final thing is that the jacket (or whatever it's called) that's used to connect the brush to the handle needs to be taken apart so that it can dry better. When I first started out, I didn't realized this and it was definitely a health hazard and led to shorter brush life.
