Stevie Wonder - Songs In The Key Of Life Review

Yes.....with all the music that I have come across, listen to, and talked about whenever the subject of all time favorite comes up this is the one the I call on every time! You would have thought that this would have been the first musical offering I would have spoke about but that is not an easy task when speaking about this work of art called Songs In The Key Of Life.

Stevie owned the 70's with the music he was putting out......so much so Paul Simon during an acceptance speech at the grammy's thanked him for not being nominated that year. Songs will forever stand the test of time because of the time and care that Stevie took in making this masterpiece. Rich in sound, bountiful in styles, and way beyond it's time Song's social issues, viewpoints, and love speaks to it's time and today sounding as though it was released just last month.

Hit after hit after hit SITKOL at some points  can reduce you to tears with it's magnetic beauty. Pastime Paradise is by far the one song that when I play it goes on repeat for about a good four cycles because it is just that beautiful to me and still manages to sound fresh spilling with raw organic beauty and emotion. Sir Duke, I Wish, and the equally funky history lesson Black Man show Stevie & Co jamming at their very best. The standout....every album/Cd has one and for me and quite frankly forever has to be As. The lyrics alone are pure art in itself(....tell dolphins fly and Paris lives at sea...) and has yet to be rivaled.

Of course I could go through each and every track and tell you what you probably already know about this masterpiece but for those unfamiliar do yourself and your musical hear a favor and witness a classic r&b work of art that has yet to be topped!.
