Something Borrowed - Emily Giffin Review Summary

Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin is a riveting story of romance, friendships gone wrong, and life's twists and turns. Our female readers love the book and encourage you to read "Something Blue" which is a book that coincides with this one. It's a page turner, beach read, totally absorbing piece of fluff fiction with well rounded characters who posses both bad and good qualities like we all do. It's highly recommended reading!

This is a great book. I read it in about 3 days. It coincides with her other book Somthing Blue. This book tells that story of a woman who ends up sleeping with her best friend's fiance, then getting with him. It is neat because in Something Blue it tells the side of the fiance that was her best friend....

Something Borrowed was an obviously well written novel because I found myself getting so absorbed in it that I openly would curse off the characters!  That being said, I didn't find the three main characters likable.  Darcy and Dex were just a mess.  Darcy was so self absorbed and Dex was a womanizer...

This book is a story about two friends with totally opposite personalities.  One friend is the "pretty" friend who wasn't that great in school and the other is  a lawyer.  This story is about how their friendship takes several twists and turns.  The narration is quite witty and the plot never gets old.  With many different layers, this book is a must read for women.  I know you will enjoy it!

Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin was an absolutely amazing book. I just finished it this morning, and can not wait to go back to Barnes and Noble and buy the next one in the series. The way she writes is astonishingly real..and without a doubt interesting. Totally hooked. This book is definitely for women old and young alike..there was never a dull moment in the book..the characters are scandalous, fun, and totally loveable! Go out and buy it..by far one of the best books I've ever read. Beats Twilight 100 times!

Emily Giffin writes beautifully, a skill that is surprisingly lacking in novels targeted towards women.  Even better, she doesn't assume that you don't have a brain.  The books is light but nuanced; Giffin's protaganists (there are no others) could have easily fallen to caricatures but she lets them dangle as human beings.  Enjoyable.
