I had a flat iron before that took FOREVER to get my hair straight. I have the pouffy not-straight-but-not-wavy hair type that is so annoying. I can't stand it like that so I straighten it every day, and the Solia Ceramic Ion Flat Iron has made my life so much easier! Now it only takes me about 10 minutes to straighten my unruly hair in the morning, and it used to take twice as long. Not only that, but my hair actually stays straight all day - before the ends always used to start curling and it would get pouffy about halfway through the day if the humidity is bad. Since I got this straightener for Christmas, it has been smooth and frizz-free.
The Solia Ceramic Ion Flat Iron has a dial that you can turn to adjust the heat, so if your hair is already pretty straight you can make it lower to avoid damage, and if your hair is difficult like mine, you can put it on a higher temperature. Don't worry about getting burned though - I haven't once in the whole time that I have had the iron.
Another bonus is that the straightener came with a stand to hold the iron, but that may have just been a Christmas deal. It is definitely handy, though.
Overall, I recommend this iron to anyone. Keep in mind it is only 1" thick though, so if you have corkscrew curls it might not be for you.
