I purchased this flat iron after reading tons of reviews, and took a chance on it. I have very long hair, down to my tail bone, and it is thick, frizzy and a little dry. I wash it about twice per week, blow dry it or let it air dry, and then flat iron it. The Solia 1 1/4 inch flat iron works wonders with my hair! I have even gotten away with letting my hair air-dry, using no styling product and then flat ironing it, and it looks amazing. The iron has an on/off switch and heats to 450 degrees. Even with how long my hair is, and how much of it I have, it only takes me about 15 minutes to flat iron it once it is dry. If I use a heat styling product with it, it comes out shiny and you can not even tell it is a bit dry at the ends. My hair stays straight until the next time I wash it, which is usually about every 3 days. The iron heats up quickly and stays hot. I have had it for about 6 months and have not had any issues, but do be away not to use too much styling product when flattening your hair or it may come out greasy. Also, it works best if you make sure to keep the paddles clean and wipe off any product residue that is left on them.
