We have been using this heater for over 5 years now in the very cold Minnesota winters. In fact the furnace went out in the house during record breaking cold and we were unable to get it fixed for 3 days so we had to turn to electric heaters, we used 3 heaters in our 2 bedroom home to get us through some very cold times, of the 3 heaters we used this model was by far the best! There is something about radiated heat that is much more sufficient for maintaning a temperature than a constant blowing heat. The temperature in the house stayed at an amazing 72 degrees and I was positive that our electric bill was going to be through the roof but I was shocked to see it was actually less than the previous month! We kept this radiating heater in the living room and had 2 small blowing heaters pointing into bedrooms, at night we turned off the blowing heaters and only used the radiating heater in our bedroom and the children hopped into bed with us. I can say with 3 nights of record breaking below 0 temperatures it really held up and after 5 years I still have no issue with this product.

We bought the Soleus Portable Flat Panel Micathermic Electric Radiator Heater for our drafty basement office because when I work, I find myself freezing in the winter. I thought that the portability of this unit would come in handy. Little did I know to heat any heat from this unit I basically had to have this heater on high and only 3 inches away from my feet. Any other distance away from the heater, it was cold. The output of the heater was just that terrible. I still froze in the basement. I ended up having to go out and buy a new unit to heat the room. I don't recommend anyone buying this product what so ever. I wouldn't waste my money.

We use this heater in the family room and it warms the room nicely, though in our cathidral ceiling livingroom it does not heat the space as well. Performance In an average size room this this heater works really well without useing that much electricity, though in larger rooms it doesn't keep up. Ease of Use The contol knnobs are well marked ad strieght forward. Durability Our heater works and looks as good as did we got it out of the box even with the wear and tear of storage. Design I like that this unit is thin and has wheels that it is easily moved around, it looks nice too. Safety I like that the knobs are well labled, the back of the heater really doesn't heat up, and when the unit is tipped it shuts off on its own reduceing the risk of fire.

It operates silently and heats my living room very well. Very easy to operate Performance It has done exactly what I need it do without any problems. I love how it is quiet, my one concern with having a space heater in the living room was noise I didn't want to have to turn up my tv volume to hear it over a space heater Ease of Use It was easy as pie to set up out of the box & even has a remote Durability it is sturdy & has been used daily since the cold weather has set in Design I like how it is portable but will turn off if it is knocked over Safety Since I have cats who like to chase each other I feel comfortable with the safety of this heater when I'm not in the same room, I like how it will turn off automatically if it is tipped over

I had one of these heaters up until about a month ago. It was on, when all of a sudden a three foot flame just shot out of the side of the heater. I was very thankful that I had stayed up late that night, otherwise who know what would have happened had i not been up to throw the heater out the front door while it was on fire. I will say though, up until that point i did love this heater. was very surprised as to how well it heated our very large living room. i hope it was just a matter of me getting a defective product as i would hate for anyone to have a much more devastating result. the company that manufactured this heater has been great with me as well. i actually will be sending it back to them within the next couple days for a refund. i can't say that i would recommend this heater!

This Soleus HM2-15R-32 Heater works great and for low cost. Thats right, it saves you money in your pocket while working very effectively. This heater can heat a room evenly and part of your home. Its price is very affordable and is not available in most locations so look for it online first before any kind of decision. It would probably be best to purchase it online for convenience. For any first time user, satisfaction will be there for sure, knowing how will this works from experience! I will always continue using it because it saves me on my energy bill, yet heats majority parts of the hosue that I want. Anything we look for these days is to save money, and this product will do it for sure, I would recommend it to anyone. There are always people who may disagree but overall, i give this product and excellent score for what it can do, especially for its price that its offered at. You will be satisfied.

I really liked this particular heater, it really does the job it is supposed to do, I really expected to heat up the room and it does its job, this heater has really reduced our heating bills, I really like how portable it is, it can be moved to room to room and it starts heating up the room very efficiently, it doesn't make any sound and that was what I wanted because of my baby, who wakes up to even very little sounds, I recommended this to a friend of mine and even they liked it a lot, and our friends who ever come to our place really like this product and recommend this to any body who wants to save money on their bills, this is a great product with reasonable price, but I didnot find a way to control the temperature, might Iam missing something, other than that it is a great product at great price, since we can save the price of the heater in only one bill we pay for the heating every month.

We have one of these at my office and it works great. There's often a strong chill in the morning when we arrive at work, but once we fire this baby up it warms up in a hurry. As with any heater, you shouldn't leave anything too close to it. It could melt some items and damage others. But this should be common sense and doesn't pose any bigger of a risk than other brands and models. If you have a large area to heat, this heater may not be up to the task. Like I said, it does fine in the room of my office but may not be able to adequately fill a large area of a house. But it is affordable and reliable, so you could invest in two or three if there was a real need for more heat. These heaters make great gifts if you know someone who is battling the cold this winter. Rather than racking up an expense heating bill, consider using this little workhouse to fight the chill and warm up your favorite room.

I got this heater because of the compact design and remote.  It worked great, the heat was fast and lasting.  The first time I turned it on, it made this loud noise and I wondered if it was broken cause it was advertised as quiet.  After a few minutes the noise stopped and I hardly noticed it was even on.  However, after a few weeks this noise got worse, it started making noises even after it had warmed up.  It stopped after I gave it a light tap or kick but who wants a heater they have to smack when they want it to be quiet.  I ended up returning it.  Maybe I got a dud heater, it was working great except the noise a few weeks after buying it.  Also, the remote is a bit useless.  The display panel is on the slim side of the heater and if you have the large flat face facing you using the remote doesn't work.  I also wish they hadn't made the on/off switch beep so loudly.  Whenever I turned it on or off it could be heard several rooms away.

this heater works so well than when it was so cold and i had a lot of clothes, covered in so many blankets nothing worked except this one. it's a very nice one to have around when your heater it not working and you know you can't live with the coldness outside. what's always nice about this heater and i prefer it over other ones is that it spreads the heat everywhere. sometimes you can buy a heater and it only heats right infront of it and nowhere else so you almost have to burn yourself just using it. but this one is nice because it spreads the heat everywhere. it's also nice because it comes in a small size. it's not too big and too hard to move by yourself. and the best thing about it is that it comes with a remote control. what's so nice is maybe when you're sleeping and you get colder or you see that the heater is working too well you begin to get hot, instead of getting up you can just use the control.
