I knew what to expect but the music in me said give it a go even though my gut said don't trouble yourself. The first single I must admit gave a good sign that after the failure of her debut Solo Star Beyonces kid sister might be on to something but after one full listen I see she still misses the mark. This sums up a BIG problem with this CD because beyond the lead single your are left with 95% filler (or JUNK depending on how you see or hear it:). After just one listen you get the impression that Solange is in an all out race to put on her big sister's shoes but she can seem to find her own...

Solange is no Beyonce or Rihanna but she proved herself as an artist on this CD. From the truthful "God Given Name" to the playful "Would've Been the One" is nothing but 80's soul driven adrenaline rush. Solange has no bounderies, she's not afraid to cross the line and thats what makes this album speacial. Solange is now classified undee the line of artist like Erykah Badu. This album is clearly "Sol-Angel" her signiture is all over the tracks.

Sola angel and the Hadley street dreams has got to be one of the most creative albums of the year. Solange Knowles takes her talent and mixes it with her sense of style and creates her very own swagger on this album. The whole album is filled with glad to be here songs. My personal favorite is the uptwmpo Sandcastle Disco. In this song Solange talks about the guy she wants and how he treats and how shes fragile like a sandcastle and she can be blown away easily. This album is hotneess
