I'm not usually a body wash person, but when I was able to get some samples of the new Softsoap Nutri Serum Body Wash from Bzz Agent, I was more than interested in signing up.  At the least if I didn't like it I could give it away to my friend who loves body washes.  In my campaign package I received the two versions of the Nutri Serum (the Moisture Retaining and the Restoring w/ Vitamin E).  As of yet I've only had an opportunity to try the Moisture Retaining version.

What is this Nutri Serum?

According to the product description the Softsoap Nutri Serum Body Wash is "The first body wash made with softening serum pearls to give you soft and healthy-looking skin."  The Moisture Retaining version is in the pink bottle and is made with Omega 3 & 6.  The body wash comes in an easy to grip bottle and the sample size came with a flip top.  The pictures of the full size bottles look like it has a similar top.

The New becomes the Old

As a clear body wash, (with the floating pink pearls) the body wash doesn't have much of a scent to it.  Upon pouring a little on my hand I noticed that the scent is the same a regular Softsoap hand soaps I have tried.  While it's not a bad scent, I would want something a little more interesting in a body wash than a soap smell.  The wash itself lathered up well and washed well.  Being that my baby belly is starting to pop out more and more I had hoped that the wash would help in keeping the moisture in my ever expanding skin.  There was really no such luck with that.  Upon getting out of the shower, I felt the same way on my belly as my hands feel after washing with Softsoap... clean yet dry.  If I hadn't put lotion on that day I fear I would have itched all day.

An Average Softsoap in a Body Wash Bottle

While the Softsoap Nutri Serum Body wash was smooth and washed well, that's about where it's good points ended for me.  It has an average Softsoap scent to it, and for me definitely did not help retain moisture.

NOTE: the reviewer indicated that they received a sample of Softsoap Nutri Serums Body Wash Moisture-Retaining Omega 3 & 6

In response to LisaCarey's comment from Nov 15, 2009 at 1:57PM:

Lisa... I'm also going to be doing one on the Nurti Serum Vitamin E one as well... that one is a little more worth it.

How disappointing and the search for a good body wash that I don't need a credit card to pay for continues :)

I never was a big fan of Soft Soap products, especially for the body (I have used the hand wash). Doesn't sound like this one delivers.
