Having recently started a coupon habit, I've had the opportunity to buy numerous brands of lip balm recently at discounted prices. I was excited to try this brand, as I had never had any experience with it in all my years of using lip balm. The vanilla flavor sounded appealing. Upon using it the first time, I felt the scent/flavor was nice. It wasn't too overpowering or chemically. I found the size of the tube (which may be convenient for carrying around in pockets) not to my liking. Not only does it easily get lost in my car's console, but it just takes plenty of swipes to apply the product. While this lip balm goes on slick and smooth and feels nice at first, I feel that it just sits on the lips as opposed to really penetrating and moisturizing. Wanting to see if it was just my imagination, I tried applying it to half of my lips, using another product on the other half. Both sides looked similar, with the Softlips side having just a bit more sheen. After my 45 minute drive to work, both sides looked the same, though I still had the feeling that the Softlips was just floating on top of the lips and would come off very easily if I took a drink of my water. The other side felt like some might rub off, but the lips would be left more moisturized. For the price, and the other minor flaws I found with this lip balm, I think my money is better spent elsewhere.

This is a really good chapstick, my favorite brand actually. I have been using this brand since highschool. I do not like the packaging of it though as it makes it seem it's for girls only when in the past their packaging was much more neutral. I am a guy so yeah, I don't like or prefer girly designs for items that are designed for both genders. But this is not important at all, what's important is that it just works. The chapstick works effectively and that's why I get it. It doesn't hurt the fact that this is also good looking as well. As odd as it sounds it's true. The fat chapsticks out there are many, and they are usually fat and short. This is completely different and it is long and skinny. It works well and it looks good, what's there not to like (besides the packaging).

This is the most wonderful lip balm on the market. It goes on so smoothly that even the most chapped lips feel softened immediatley upon application. The vanilla is very mildly flavored/scented, and has almost a bit of a tingle to it as if there's a bit of mint or menthol undertones. I have chronic sinus problems that prevent me from being able to breathe through my nose easily, so breathing through my mouth so frequently causes me to have severely chapped lips most days, but as soon as I put on Softlips, my lips feel better. It's extremely moisturizing without having that heavy greasy feeling a lot of lip balms have. Some reviewers have complained about it being a small tube, but I actually like the size of the tube, because when applying it, the tip is the size of my lips rather than being larger and smearing the product on the skin above/below my lips, making it easier to apply.

I keep one of these in my purse and use it daily. It goes on very easily, even if my lips are dry. It has a higher SPF than many other lip products that makes it more appealing to me. I appreciate products that multi-task. It's compact and it makes my lips feel renewed! I love the tingly effect after putting it on, which makes Soflips Vanilla addictive.  Vanilla is a lovely fragrance and not fruity or saccharine.  What I love about Softlips is there chapstick has no taste, but it has a scent.  If it had a sweet taste, like cherry, it would seem cheap.  Chapsticks can smell good, but they  never TASTE good; they always taste like poor candy in a tube.  I love using this each day whenever my lips feel dry or chapped; since they are so small, you can put it in your pocket and carry it around with you. Very convenient!  I like how kissable they make my lips too.  Whenever my lips go dry, I like to wear softlips vanilla; it gives them a soothing, tingly feeling.  Since the package is so small, it is convenient to carry around in a pocket, purse, or messenger bag.  These are very practical chapsticks, and they truly work.  Good for Men and Womens; unisex scent!

I'm not a huge fan of lip balms, but Softlips Vanilla totally won me over.  It's easy to apply, feels great on my lips and tastes wonderful. It's not sticky and it doesn't get all over everything, and leaves my lips in great shape. I also have a bonus awesome experience with this lip balm. I was in microbiology class and we were studying antibacterial soaps and whether they protected us from bacteria (the scary answer: they usually didn't).  My teacher mentioned that many lip balms had antibacterial ingredients, and asked for a volunteer to test theirs.  I whipped out my Softlips, swabbed it with a cotton swab, and smeared the swab all over a petri dish covered in a "lawn" of bacteria. A week later, after incubating in a nice warm place, what did I find?  A fresh lawn of bacterial growth, everywhere EXCEPT where there was lip balm! No growth whatsoever on the Softlips.  Not that I plan to be kissing a lot of petri dishes, but this made me feel a lot better about the longevity of the product!

I am constantly on the hunt for a great chapstick. I live in the midwest and the winter is brutal on my skin (especially my lips). I saw a sale on Softlips Vanilla and decided to give it a try. It is a great size to carry with you. It fits easily in to a pocket or you could put it in your purse. It also has a nice smell (it might be a little strong for people who are sensative to smells though). This chapstick also lasts for a long time. I don't generally have to apply it more than a few times a day. It also seems to last for a long time (I've had this current tube for 3 months). My son doesn't like it (it does kind of have a slight stinging sensation like menthol chapsticks so I wouldn't recommend it for hids). I would definity consider buying this chapstick again on sale. I did find the regular price to be a little high for a single tube of chapstick. It's also supposed to work as a sunscreen which is a nice feature.

I am a big fan of lip balms and I always carry at least one with me on a daily basis.  Softlips Vanilla is one of my favorite balms.  One of my favorite things about it surprisingly enough, is the tube itself.  I like that it it slim because it makes it super easy to apply to the lips.  It also makes it easy to stash in my pocket or bag without being obtrusive.  I like the way that Softlips absorbs into the lips and doesn't stay on top in a greasy or sticky mess. I think it is one of the better moisturizing lip balms available on the market today. I also like the flavors that Softlips comes in.  The vanilla flavor is lightly sweet and to me tastes a bit like marshmellows.  A bonus is that it even smells just as good.  Many times Softlips comes in packages of two or more which makes the price attractive.  I definitely feel as if it is one of the better values out there.  I also appreciate that it is relatively easy to find.

I have been using Softlips for years and years.  It honestly is the only chapstick product that I buy.  I probably have about 20 tubes of it laying around the house, in the car, at work, and in my purse/backpack.  I really like the fact that it doesn't leave your lips feeling waxy like all the others that I've tried.  It moisturizes really well and lasts a long time.  I also like that it has sunscreen in it already, it's one less thing to worry about.  I really like all of the different flavors, but tend to buy vanilla and raspberry if they are available.  It's nice because it isn't too "girly" to share with my husband if he needs to use it.  (no glitter, color, superstrong fruity flavor/scent).  It isn't too expensive, which is great with the amount that I tend to go through.  It comes in 2-packs pretty frequently, which makes it even cheaper.  I like to put it in with gift baskets, or on the top of presents as a little something extra...everyone really enjoys it! :)
