I really appreciate this conditioner.  It smells amazing and it does what a conditioner is supposed to do.  Although it does not state anywhere on the bottle it is a conditioner but a reconstructing deep treatment.  It is supposed to make hair stronger and replenish weak brittle hair with it's essential oils and yes it does.  I have very curly dry hair and this Roots of Nature Reconstructing Deep Treatment is exactly what my hair needed. This treatment is meant to be used once a week but I use it twice a week sometimes.  You are to apply to damp hair and leave for at least 5 minutes.  If you try to use this product like regular conditioner and apply to wet hair and leave in for 1 to 3 minutes it won't work very well.  I know because I have done this and was not impressed. I apply to my damp hair after I get out of the shower and comb through it with a wide tooth comb, place a plastic bag over my hair and allow the heat to blow on my head from a blow dryer or lay on a heater vent for about 15 to 20 minutes.  The heat makes a difference.  Afterwards my hair is like silk.  It is incredibly soft and smells great! It really works!

Roots of Nature sent me a free sample of their Shea Butter Green Tea Reconstructing Deep Treatment.  This was new to me and I couldn't wait to try it. It is a weekly treatment that replenishes and fortifies weak hair.  It also helps promote strong growing hair.This is exactly what my hair needs as I blow dry it, use a curling iron on it, and then backcomb it.  It needs a lot of tender loving care.  Also when my hair is styled I use an awful lot of hairspray to keep it in place. So I washed my hair as normal and rinsed off the shampoo.  I skipped the conditioner, and then towel dried my hair to remove the excess water.  I then opened te top of my Reconstructing Deep Treatment, and applied some to my hair. It was a thick white cream and had a pleasant smell to it.  I made sure of covering all my hair from root to tips.  I then rub it in well.  I kept it on my hair for 10 minutes before rinsing it off.
