Sobe - Life Water —

Intro
I'm always into nutritional bottled waters, especially ones with good flavor to them. On my last day of Christmas shopping I was at the mall, as my son also had an orthodontist appointment. I wasn't finding everything I wanted, so I was definitely stressed, and the whole month I've had the stress of my kitchen renovation that isn't getting done when it's supposed to. My son was bugging me to buy a smoothie, but frankly none of us needed the calories. We walked past a little booth that was handing out free bottles of Sobe Life Water. Hallelujah, that was very welcome, especially that I chose the flavor called "Calm Life."

The Taste
The kids and I each picked up a bottle of Sobe Life Water, all the same flavor, Calm Life. I think all of us needed a little calm in our lives at that point. It had a very sweet berry taste to it, but not too sweet, until you got to the bottom, if you didn't keep shaking it up now and then. It's noted on the bottle that it has chamomile and lemon balm in it, and it must be those that add to the calming effect. It was very, very smooth, almost creamy. After we got home, I took a nap. I probably would have anyway, but I like to think the Sobe Life Water added to it.

The Nutrition
Sobs Life Water in the Calm Life flavor really did seem calming, so that claim did seem backed up. What I wasn't exactly thrilled with was how "nutritional" it was. How nutritional is it with 40 calories and 10 grams of sugar in each serving? For me, that's too much. If I'm having that much sugar, we may as well had the smoothies which also have nutritional benefits but a lot of sugar.

The Bottom Line
Yes, I needed calming on my last shopping day before Christmas, and yes, something to quench my thirst was very welcome. But when I'm looking towards doing a lot of extra eating, bad extra eating over the holidays, I really don't want extra calories and sugar. I will drink this again, but it will be a day when I don't mind the extra sugar, and when I'm desperately wanting that calming effect.
