So You Think You Can Dance Review

Cheers to SYTYCD for it's 5th season! The dancers are better than ever, the choreography is fantastic, and the season is off to a great start. This show is wonderful because it showcases primarily non-professional talent - these kids are really amazing dancers and many of them have had little formal training.  Many have been in tutus all their lives, too, but unlike Project Runway, where most of the designers seem to already be working in their fields, most of the SYTYCD competitors have yet to be "discovered." Sure, judge Mary Murphy is annoying, but the guest judges (Adam Shankman in particular) are smart and serious with their feedback. I usually just forward through Mary's commentary on my TiVO :-)  Can't wait for Mia Michaels choreography!
