Don't sleep without it.

I love our Snuza, it is the only thing that gives me enough piece of mind to sleep at night. Our daughter is now 9 and a half months old, and we started using this for all naps and nighttime sleep when she was about 6 weeks old. I wish we had purchased it sooner! We've only had to change the battery once in that time. The only drawback is that we occasionally get false alarms because it has fallen off her cloth diaper. I will definitely use the Snuza from birth with all my future babies. Sound/Video Clarity The Snuza Hero emits a high pitched beep when it does not detect movement for 20 seconds. The sound is certainly loud enough to be heard over a baby monitor, though I do wish that this came with a handheld parent unit that alarmed instead of alarming only on the baby. We have thankfully only ever had false alarms, from the unit slipping off her cloth diaper, and she has never woken up from the alarm. Interference Because this is a standalone unit that does not transmit sound or video to a parent unit, there is no chance of interference. Durability The directions specify to be gentle and not bend the rubber tip of the Snuza back, but we've accidentally done so a handful of times and it still works fine so I think it's pretty durable. Portability The Snuza is just a small unit that clips directly onto the baby's clothes or diaper, so it can be used absolutely anywhere. We only use it when she is sleeping at home, but you could definitely use this in the stroller or car seat as well if you wanted to.

Peace of mind!

This little device is worth every penny. It gives a great piece of mind. I sometimes co-sleep so I worry about my baby & SIDS. It also helps me sleep better knowing he doesn't un-swaddle himself and pull his blanket into his face. It has only gone off a couple of times because it slipped off his diaper. Another great thing about this device is that its portable. If you baby sleeps in a swing, car seat, cradle, pack & play, he/she can always have it attached to the diaper (compared to the crib mat monitors). At five months we no longer used the Snuza so I was able to sell it for 75% of the purchase price. Everyone I tell about this product is truly intrigued. No more hovering over a sleeping baby and checking their breathing. The tip of the Snuza is very sensitive so it should be treated carefully. It comes with a protective case to leave it in when traveling or storing. This is one my favorite baby must-haves!

Snuza has advantages over angelcare

I could not decide if I should buy this or stick with my angelcare monitors.  I ended up getting the snuza go which is a tad cheaper and clips on to the baby's diaper so there is no outside interference. I use it with a video monitor and it gives me a little piece of mind. For twins or multiple babies, you should remember you cannot use 2 angelcare monitors in the same crib. If one stopped breathing, the monitor/pad would pick up the other breathing baby's movement and you'd never know. If they are going to sleep in the same crib while you want to use, I really recommend the Snuza. We have it for travel and it's good, too.  It is much more portable than the Angelcare monitor. We take it to grandma's house and any trips.  This monitor has given me so much peace of mind and recommend it to any parent that is worried about losing their precious babies to SIDS.  I know that I am very paranoid, and this helps me to get a good night's sleep.

I purchased the Snuza Baby Movement Monitor after my daughter (now 3 months) refused to sleep on her back (she had been sleeping in a bouncer since birth). One day while I was at my parents house my mom decided to try putting her on her stomach to sleep (of course my mom being old school said "We ALWAYS put you on your stomach to sleep!"). Well my daughter slept great! Because of the risk of SIDS I didn't feel comfortable putting her on her stomach unless I was there and watching her...but then we found the Snuza! We've only been using it about a week now, but it is finally allowing us (my husband and I AND our daughter) to sleep soundly. The alarm has gone off twice, but it was due to my incorrectly placing it on her diaper and it slipping off. The funny thing is that both times it went off our daughter didn't wake up (but it sure woke up her father and I). After having some issues attaching it to her disposable diaper I finally decided to use one of my gDiaper covers over her disposable diaper (she wears cloth gDiapers during the day and disposables at night). The gDiaper cover has a velcro waistband that fits snugly around her waist and doesn't allow the Snuza to slip off. Because my daughter sleeps on her stomach I place it on her back right near her side so if she does roll over on to her back it won't be uncomfortable for her. All in all I am SO glad I found the Snuza and would definitely recommend it to other parents having our stomach sleeping issue.
