These are the only dryer sheets my wife will use, since she is in charge of the laundry I let her make the choices there. Last year when I was having some issues with where they buried the phone line and needed it moved I found another use for these (or any) dryer sheets.

Snuggle Dryer Sheets

Our clothes always smell nice and fresh and are very soft as well. My wife does double duty on shirts, under garments and socks because of our hard water. She uses both the liquid softener in the washer and dryer sheets to make sure everything is soft. These dryer sheets juts do a fantastic job of it too!

Then last year I needed the phone line moved as they had installed it between the house and garage and I needed to renovate the walk way and was putting in a garden beside the garage. When the phone guy got here I about rolled on the ground, he came up to my door with a white sheet of paper on his hat and hanging from his belt! He looked like Minnie Pearl and Jethro Bodine all rolled into one!

I just couldn't resist and proceeded to find out why he was dressed for Halloween! Come to find out they were dryer sheets he had hanging from his hat and belt. He then told me he doesn't work outside without them. I inquired further and he explained it too me. Seems Mosquito's can't stand the chemicals in the dryer sheets and aren't too happy about the scent either.

He said that since he has started wearing them that Mosuito's leave him alone! Wow and I thought I was the only Redneck around these parts....lol Anyway I decided to give them a try and see what would happen. I put one on the back of my hat and another tied to a belt loop on my pants. I then went out and tilled the side yard and then the back garden. I worked in the yard a majority of the day getting the gardens ready as well as the pool.

Not once was I bitten by mosquito's that day in fact I did hear a few buzzing my head, but I never got bit. Wow it does work I thought but that was only one test and the season was still early. I kept doing it every time I needed to be out back for anything and I was not bitten even once. So now I use the dryer sheets as a Mosquito repellent anytime I am out there unless I am cooking and then I use the spray.

Bottom Line

Not only does Snuggle dryer sheets work great on your laundry to get them soft and smelling great they also repel those pesky darn Mosquito's as well. I would have never thought of that as a way to keep them away from you, not in a million years. Thanks to the phone guy I now have another tool in my arsenal of Mosquito repellents and I don't worry as much about getting West Nile anymore. Plus it is a great way to keep your clothes soft and comfortable as well.

Just hope the dryer sheet companies don't change anything about how they make them and ruin it. It is always a plus when you can use a product for multiple uses as the buying power increases with each new use. I can use 2 dryer sheets for Mosquito's and they will last me all week long without replacing them. I just store them in a plastic baggy after each use to keep them fresh.

Yep they still smell good after you use them in the dryer! wonder if you can use them twice and still get rid of static cling?

Once they've been used in the dryer they can be used again to clean between the keys on your keyboard. This is especially helpful when you have a hairy cat. lol
