When I opened my first Snuggie Blanket, I made the mistake of trying to wear it, sashaying back and forth in front of my bedroom mirror.  As a fashion statement, the Snuggie falls a tad short with its open back and lack of shape.  It looked like a blanket with sleeves ... and of course, that's what...

Quick View: I am the coldest person ever. I am cold right now as I type this and I am bundled up well. I have ice water for blood. So when I saw all the commercials for the Snuggie Blanket ("The blanket with arms!"), I was all over it. Now that I have one, I am laughing at just how silly it is.

a creature of comfort, always cold, an informercial junkie

OK. I admit it.  When I saw the informercial for the Snuggie I totally wanted one.  Despite the freaky druid look of it and the fact that they think people would actually wear a Snuggie out in public, it looked like a good idea so I wanted one.  But as much as I like infomercials I'm not all that trusting of the companies who fulfill informercial orders so I didn't order one.

So imagine my surprise when I went to my parents' house on Christmas day and found that my dad had ordered a Snuggie for everyone in the family.  Well he had only ordered four of them but due to the confusing ordering...

throw blanket user, skeptical of "as seen on TV, very happy with this product, married

The Snuggie is advertised on TV all the time, especially late at night.  I was intrigued by the commercials, but I'm skeptical of "as seen on TV" products.  Most of them are "available only through this great television offer", for a reason, because they're not what the commercial makes them out to be, so no self-respecting stores are going to carry them.  I've been burned a few times by things that are too good to be true but look alluring in the commercial.  I was worried that the Snuggie might be one of those things, but I figured, It's a blanket with sleeves, how could they possibly mess...

I love how its warm, long, comes in different colors, can use as regular blanket and more. I use it mostly when hanging out in my living room.

Love the idea of the Snuggie, and even used one once.  The issue is that I am extremely busy.  So, I found it hard to do things in.  The covering of my arms kept interferring with my sewing and any other handwork that I wanted to perform.

I purchased the new Snuggie blanket advertised on most television stations. Like most other families I am trying to cut down on heating bills and living expenses. I thought this product would be perfect for the house. I was greatly mistaken.

I got the package in the mail and was enthusiastic about it. I opened it to find that is it nothing but an over sized robe with over size sleeves.  There is not way to button, snap or even tie the back of it closed. My material has something to be desired as well.

This is not a product for outdoor use, as the informercial implies. It easily slips off shoulders...

Snuggie Blanket

I have tried other blankets. This  blanket is nice. My fiance keeps the house so cold at night that it feels like winter all year round. That may sound nice to those who live in the south, but it gets old after a while. Anyway, I was in the store and found this blanket on sale. Well, I decided to try it out and see. At the very least if it did not work well as this blanket, I could use it as a regular blanket. No harm, no foul. Well the first time I used it, I was amazed. Imagine a heating pad for your whole body. It was nice. I don't even need to use alot of sheets on the bed...

I actually baught this product completely on accident at the store about a month ago. But it turned out to be the BEST mistake I've ever made.

The commercials for the Snuggie may be lame, and the snuggie may get teased alot but it is in truth an excellent product. So far my snuggie has easily held up to my 12 month old Terrier, my two cats, my cousins baby, being left out in the rain twice, and a whole other host of things and all I've had to do is pop it in the wash and it comes out like new.

But the easy cleaning and durability is not the best part about the snuggie! Its deceptivly light, you...

I find that the Snuggie is quite convient to have. It does help to keep the chill off too. Although, it is a little bit bulky. Not in the way of being too big or thick. But, in the way of being slightly awkward. It is very long especially if you are a short person such as I am. I  not only use it when I'm cozing up on the couch to read a book or to watch tv. But, I also use it when I am sitting in front of the computer. My kittys love it too. I love the fact that it comes in wide variety of colors as well as as various logos. I usually sleep with it too. Of course I do have to add another blanket...

I was out shopping with my Mom last week and I passed by the Snuggie display at target. I mentioned that I thought they were kind of cool. Later that same week my husband and I had dinner with my parents and as we were leaving my mother gave me a gift. The gift was a pink Snuggie!

I kjnow they seem a little strange at first. Lol, a blanket with sleves! It's like a backwards robe without the convinent tie! But it's really pretty convinent. It's longer than a robe, so it covers your feet. I use it for lots of things, not just sitting on the couch. I wrap up in it when I take the dogs outside too....

The snuggie. There has been much talk of it, and I heard more about it before I even saw it; on Black Friday sales, I saw them all over the place, and my best friend's brother bought him one as a gift. Totally to be hilarious--but still, I am pretty sure he wore it around the house.

Anyway, the snuggie has its pros, which are that it keeps you warm while also allowing the wearer to maintain functional capability of his or her arms. However, I have found that this is not completely true. There is no way to tie the snuggie in the back, and so it leaves not only your back cold, but it also makes it...

This thing is so darn cheesy looking, the packaging, the commercials, etc. But, it is awesome in the house of course. I would never wear this in public, or in front of anyone other than my daughter. I got this from my mom as gifts for myself and my daughter. I would have never bought it myself, but my daughter was pining for one b/c she is infomercial queen.:) Anyway, we have used them, but unfortunately my mom did not get the child size. There is no way that she can properly walk around with the grownup version. I may give it away as a present! Anyway, buy it you will love it. But, do not buy...
