I  use Snopes.com often.  Whenever anyone sends me an e-mail that sounds quirky or too good to be true, I go to Snopes.com first before forwarding or deleting. This way I don't look stupid forwarding a false e-mail. This is a very easy web-site to use. It also is a very informative site. There are many interesting articles to read, if you ever have the time to just surf on the site.
