Why doesn't every duffus check Snopes first ?

Snopes —

I get too many emails with outrageous claims or requests to help out bogus sick children. Why are my friends still sending them??? Within a matter of minutes I can check out the story on Snopes.com and send back a reply with the real scoop. Stop sending me stupid emails and check it yourself first!

Right on !!! I think I have pretty intelligent friends until I get one of those stupid urban legends passed on with some warning like DANGER YOU MUST READ this and then uring me to forward it to everyone I know.
I, too send everyone on the e-mail list the link to snopes.com.
