I'm still searching for the perfect pedicure tool to quickly, effectively, and gently remove rough skin. Although the perfect tool is still eluding me, I have discovered the Snazzy Creations Crystal Glass Pedicure File for $11. It's less abrasive than a pumice stone, gentler than my battery-operated callous remover, and easier to use than traditional sloughing files.
Snazzy Creations Glass Pedicure File is 7.5 inches long, and is made of etched and tempered glass. On the surface the file feels very smooth to the touch, yet it is able to remove hard skin and file down callouses. Like the company's manicure files, this product also comes with your choice of hand painted designs. I noticed recently that the painted cat I selected is beginning to wear down a bit, but it's not a big deal for me. It's still a pretty cute file.
For best results, the manufacturers suggest that the file should be used after your bath or shower while the skin is still moist. I did take that advice, and I am able to get quite a bit of dead skin removed. Unfortunately, I also spend a lot of time rinsing the glass file because it fills up with dead skin rather quickly. Still, I guess that means the product is working as it should and my feet end up reasonably soft. I'm not as excited by the pedicure file as I am with the Snazzy Creations Glass Nail File, but it does do a decent job as part of my pedicure process.
The Snazzy Creations Crystal Glass Pedicure File may not be perfect, but it's pretty good. It's a generous size, easy to use, and effective at scaling away dead skin from trouble spots. The hand-painted designs are whimsical and colorful, and would be perfect for stocking stuffers and other small gifts. These products are available at shop.snazzycreations.com
