Snapfish.com
Snapfish.com is a photo web site that allows you to upload your photos, share them online, order prints and much, much more.
I have a home photo printer that I use if I "need it now" but the price of ink cartridges makes it unreasonable to print the many photographs that I take. I found that Snapfish photo services offer quality prints at the best prices but the real reason I take the time to upload my photos to Snapfish is that I have so many options for cards, gifts and invitations too.
Prints from Snapfish.com:
Prints are often as low as 8 cents each and the second set is even less. You can choose borders as well. I like the thin white border unless it is a photo that I plan to frame. Snapfish.com will mail your prints right to your house. I usually get them in two days! There is an option to send them to a local Walgreen's photo center but pick up but the quality of the Snapfish processed prints are better than the in-store. For me the price of delivery is cheaper than the gas and time to pick up the photos. Every time I receive my prints, there is a coupon inside for freebies such as 8 free prints or a free 5x7. They really know how to get me to come back.
Other Options at Snapfish.com:
Party Invitations
I have used Snapfish for birthday party invitations as well. There are a ton of backgrounds to choose from and you can add one to four photos to your invitation. I love putting recent photos of what my kids are into and how they are growing on their party invitations. There's always plenty of room of room for print, even for my traditional birthday poem that the 10 year old deemed as "lame" this year. Oh well, I am still the hostess!
Cards
This year I have used Snapfish to create Easter cards, preschool graduation announcements and soccer season bragging cards. I passed on the sports photographer package for $40.00 and created my own for $10.00 that came with envelopes too. (Sorry Mr. Sports Photographer, you're such a nice guy but with two kids playing three sports a year and soccer seaons coming spring and fall, I gotta go with DIY.)
Flip book albums
Flip book albums are my newest craze. You can choose up to ten photos and a border for $4.99. The flip book comes with a clear plastic protective cover and a spiral binding. You can add more than ten photos for additional charges but I've found it gives me some good boundaries to just choose ten from any event whether a party, a day at the beach, a mother in law visit, a trip to the zoo and so on. The flip books make awesome gifts too.
My Viewpoint: Snapfish.com is easy to use and offers quality prints (by delivery) for the best prices going. They also have great invitation, card and gift options. You'll need to add in delivery fees but the price will still be hard to beat.
