Sumcker's makes wonderful fruit syrups and their Strawberry variety is no exception. It is so delicious! It is very sweet with loads of wonderful strawberry flavor. A few drops of this rich and wonderful treat are packed with flavor! I like to add it to vanilla ice cream, strawberry shortcake, plain yogurt, cheesecake, and other treats. It adds so much flavor and pizazz to my desserts!

The other night I waited until almost the last minute to put a few finishing touches on my [Peapod][1] order.  Just as we came down to the wire, I spotted something interesting -- ***Smucker's Strawberry Syrup***.  I hardly had time enough to add it on, much less check out the nutritional info.  The good news here is that ***Smucker's Strawberry Syrup ***does not disappoint as far as flavor is concerned.  I really loved the great strawberry taste which is hard to resist -- but in a way, that's the bad news because eating too much of this stuff may not be such a good thing. **WHAT THIS IS:** ***Smucker's Strawberry Syrup ***is a luscious smooth red syrup which is an unapologetic blend of high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, strawberries, water, natural flavor, boysenberry juice concentrate (for color), citric acid, pectin, and zanthan gum. **STATS:** A mere quarter cup of ***Smucker's Strawberry Syrup ***is a single serving which contains 200 calories with zero calories from fat.  Also notably missing is Sodium, which would be considered a plus if it weren't for the 51 grams of Total Carbs, 44 grams Sugars, zero Protein, and absolutely **NO** vitamins or minerals.  Just about the only thing to recommend ***Smucker's Strawberry Syrup*** is that it tastes good. **MY VIEWPOINT:** Now, at last, the **GOOD** news about ***Smucker's Strawberry Syrup ***and that is that you don't really need to consume a quarter cup to get some joy out of this wonderful product.  A couple teaspoons of ***Smucker's Strawberry Syrup ***can jazz up a helping of sliced fresh strawberries, create an impromptu strawberry sundae or turn a glass of milk into a pale pink, delightful potion.  Fortunately, I find that I **am** able to resist this except for an occasional treat, I'm glad that I added it to my Peapod order at the last minute, and I recommend it **in moderation **as an occasional treat.     [1]: http://www.viewpoints.com/Peapod-com-review-a5402
