Smooth N Shine Silk Fusion Sixty-Second Critical Repair —

Like many black women, my relaxed hair tends to be fragile and requires a good moisturizing hair conditioner to keep it in optimum condition.  My current favorite deep conditioner is Smooth N Shine Silk Fusion Sixty-Second Critical Repair.  In no time at all, my freshly shampooed hair goes from a fuzzy, tangled mess to a smooth and soft crowning glory.

Smooth 'N Shine conditioner is infused with silk proteins, coconut oil, pearl powders, and silicones to moisturize, soften and coat each strand for a more manageable head of hair.  The large jar contains 13.5 ounces of gloppy-textured conditioner.  It's not as creamy as some conditioners I've used before, but it has a slick feel to it.  Kind of hard to describe, actually.

At any rate, I applied a generous glob onto my damp hair and massaged it in well.  I left it in longer than 60 seconds--more like 4 minutes to be precise.  When it was time to rinse out, I could feel that my hair had transformed from its previous just-washed state.  As the conditioner rinsed down the drain I could feel my hair was detangled and incredibly soft to the touch.  I am reluctant to use the word silky because that's not generally how I would describe the texture of my hair, but it did feel much smoother (while it was wet, anyway) than it does when using other conditioners.

I don't know if Smooth N Shine really "repairs" damaged hair or if that is just an advertising statement, but it definitely did make my hair softer, smoother, and ready for styling.  I had no tangles and no residue left behind.

I honestly don't know if this is a product geared toward ethnic hair or if it is for all hair types (I bought mine online for $4.99), but my guess is that it probably wouldn't work for anyone with oily hair.   I, however, give it a big thumbs up.  I hope they never stop making Smooth N Shine Silk Fusion Sixty-Second Critical Repair, because I'll never stop buying it.
