Smooth N Shine makes my favorite moisturizing conditioner (reviewed here), so I decided to try the brand when I needed some more mousse. Boy, am I glad I did. Smooth N Shine Silk Fusion Intense Condition Styling Mousse gives my hair the perfect combination of body, style, and control.
I use this mousse like any other. On damp, just-shampooed hair I squirt an egg-sized dollop onto my hand and apply it to my hair. I try to avoid getting it near my scalp because I worry about flaking once it dries. Once it's thoroughly massaged into each strand, I usually set my hair on big rollers and allow it to air dry (no heat = no damage to relaxed hair). My hair is fairly fine/thin so it doesn't take long to dry.
Once my hair is thoroughly dry, I take out the rollers and my hair is ready to comb and brush out. Smooth N Shine Silk Fusion Mousse always leaves my hair looking shinier and feeling softer. My curls last for a couple of days and I don't need to use any additional products on my hair to keep it manageable. In addition, if my hair needs a boost in between shampoos, a little mousse on dry hair perks it up and helps to eliminate frizz. I love this stuff.
Smooth N Shine Silk Fusion Styling Mousse contains silk amino acids, panthenol, and hydrolyzed wheat proteins to help moisturize while it helps hold a style. The 9 oz canister lasts a long time and at approximately $4, it's also a bargain. I may never spend another dime on expensive salon products again.
