Smooth Fitness 6.1 Review

We purchased this Smooth Fitness treadmill about 18 months ago in Dec of 2007. We used it infrequently at first and then (and still now) every day, multiple times a day. It has held up great. It has many functions - can register your heart rate via handles or wireless chest strap, inclines up to 15, and calories/time/HR target settings. Plus, the motor is powerful and has a lifetime warranty.

We've had a few small issues but Smooth's customer service has been VERY helpful and accommodating. The main issue was we were not aware to keep the wheel lubricated with silicone so the build up of static electricity caused the heart rate strap not to register on screen properly. Again, customer service helped us with the issue and sent a replacement part at no cost. Now, the only nuisance is that it is noiser and a bit "squeaky" when running on it. Otherwise, it seems like a "like new" piece of professional gym equipment.
