What an innovative lip product! I recently purchased a kit of Smashbox makeup that included the Smile Brightening Lip Gloss. In fact, I chose this specific kit for this specific product. I had never experienced such a lip gloss, and I wanted to give it a try. This lip gloss is a beautiful shade of pink. It glides on the lips smoothly. I have found that not much product is necessary to create a sleek, sexy lip. The lip gloss even has a minty aroma, and it makes my mouth feel fresh and clean. As for the smile brightening propensities, I am happy to report that they do work. You will not see a smile as white as you would from some sort of bleaching product. However, the lip gloss somehow reflects light to make your smile whiter and more attractive. As a result, I have found myself wearing this lip gloss more often than others in my makeup bag. Unfortunately, there is one flaw with this gloss. It is not long lasting. After an hour, reapplication is almost always necessary. This is extremely inconvenient, especially for such an expensive product. The quality at this price point should be better. Still, the need for reapplication is not a deal breaker. The positives about this lip gloss far out weigh negatives.

Well I have enjoyed trying other cosmetics by Smashbox so I decided I should try the Smashbox Smile Brightening Lip Gloss as well. I really did not care for it.  It made my lips itch and burn. The product does contain mineral oil.The lip gloss comes ina  variety of colors and is available at any store that sells the Smashbox brand. It comes with a little higher than average price tag. I definitely would not consider this product to be high quality. It feathers and it bleeds and it does not last long.The Smashbox Smile Brightening Lip Gloss does indeed brighten one's smile. It makes your lips shimmery tot he eye. Some colors were a bit too dull and other colors were a bit too bright for me. They really do not look good on an older person. I definitely would not recommend this product for anyone that is over the age of 30.The product might look better on kids in their teens or perhaps on girls in their early twenties.
